Happy Friday! It’s been a super busy week and I actually have about 9 posts to type up over the next few days… so get ready! I wanted to start yesterday, but it was basically a horrible day where everything was against me from start to finish – so I swatched last night and didn’t do much else. Things are good today though – so time to start the onslaught of posts. First up is the Fandom Flakies Box for March 2022 and the theme is Made for TV Movies!

The Fandom Flakies Box March 2022 maker is Nvr Enuff! You’ve seen this brand around my blog many times as well – so they should be familiar. Recently they did post in their Facebook group that they will be most likely closing up once they are out of current stock of bottles though, so this might be their last time in Fandom Flakies (or a collab in general) which makes me sad – but they have other projects up their sleeve.

I have noticed that the Fandom Flakies Box Fan Group on Facebook is gaining some new faces – so I’m going to explain the box a little more. I think I backed off since most seemed to know the drill, but based on some questions – there are enough new faces to rehash it all.

So basically Fandom Flakies Box has 2 constant makers – Night Owl Lacquer and Bee’s Knees Lacquer. Ribbits Stickits is also a familiar face to the box – bringing fun add ons to the box to really bring the theme to life. Then there is a guest maker. The guest maker each month picks the theme for the box and the themes range from video games to tv shows to movies. Sometimes others – but those are the most common. Basically anything with a possible “fandom” is fair game in this box.

Every month when the shop opens there are 40 Ready To Ship boxes made. Usually it will be said as “RTS” and that’s what that means. They are ready to go.

When you purchase a box, you will only receive the 3 polishes. It’s a flat rate of $33 plus shipping for the 3 polishes, and if you want to add Ribbits Stickits goodies – then the price goes up depending on what is added. But the baseline is $33 for the 3 polishes shown.

Want only the Ribbits Stickits addons? That’s perfectly fine – you can buy those alone as well.

Once the 40 RTS boxes are gone – they essentially go into preorder. The preordered boxes will ship between 2-4 weeks after the shop closes. They do aim for sooner but as we all know – USPS has a mind of it’s own and it’s just not always possible.

All polishes within the box are exclusive to the box. I believe the Ribbits Stickits items are as well.

Let’s jump on in for Made for TV Movies theme!

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Flight of Your Life

Flight of Your Life was inspired by the Langoliers, a movie that has haunted Sarah for years.

Flight of Your Life is a sheer base with pink to gold to green multichrome pigment with black to purple to blue multichrome flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

If you have a strong VNL it may be visible through this polish. It is sheer enough to use 1 coat as a topper – but even at 3 coats some of my nail is easy to see through the polish.

Night Owl Lacquer | Being Normal is Vastly Overrated

Being Normal is Vastly Overrated is inspired by Halloweentown.

Being Normal is Vastly Overrated is a warm purple crelly base loaded with blue to purple shifting shimmer and orange to fuchsia to gold to green crystal chameleon flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Nvr Enuff Polish | Soul Skaters

Soul Skaters was inspired by Brink!

Soul Skaters is an indigo jelly base with gold and blue flakes, as well as galaxy holo glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Ribbits Stickits | Frogetaboutit Acetone Additive

Frogetaboutit Acetone Additive is a small vial of liquid that you shake up and pour into your acetone to lessen the harsh effects. It takes away that ashy look acetone can leave behind on your skin, plus gives a burst of scent to sort of cover up the smell of acetone.

If you are new to Acetone Additive, I suggest you shake the vial, pour in half, test the acetone and then pour in more as you see fit. Depending on your skin type and what type of remover you use, the amount of additive needed with vary. If you tend to have oily skin – too much will make you oily, too little and it won’t seem like you used any. It’s a balancing act so add a little, test and add more as needed.

For March the scent is Eat Me Cake – and the scent description is bright lemon peel, juicy lemon, butter, sugar and vanilla.

To my nose – this smells like a fresh baked pie with mild citrus tones peeking through. The buttery crust of the pie is the scent most prominent and it honestly gives me that warm, back at home with grandma type feeling.

This is an add on item and will be $4.50

Ribbits Stickits | Un-frog-gettable Hand & Cuticle Cream

This hand and cuticle cream is thick enough so it can be used every day in small amounts, or slather it on at night for a more intensive treatment.

Ribbits Stickits | Water Slide Decals

Usually for the waterslides, Ribbits Stickits uses a little of what each maker did so they flow in with the polish – but this month they did their own thing – and I am loving these decals.

Ribbits Stickits used Alice In Wonderland as their inspo (with the hand cream and acetone additive too!)

These are like temporary tattoos for your nails. I usually cut the image I want off the sheet, set in water for 10-15 seconds, then remove the image from water and place face down on a stamping head. Then I slide the paper backing off leaving just the image on the stamper. Then I stamp the image down onto my nail firmly, lift stamper and then top coat.

There are other ways to do it – this is my preferred method.

There are 2 sheets of water slide decals this month.

Decals are an add on for $10.00

The pricing for the box changed last month – and there is a subscription option if you want to automatically receive these boxes. There are 2 different subscription box offerings: $33.00 for the 3 polishes only, or $43.00 for the 3 polishes plus $10 in additional Ribbits Stickits items. This month’s Ribbit Stickits extras will be the waterslides for the sub box.

Of course you can still purchase without a sub if you prefer.
