I’m playing a tiny bit of catchup still, but I’m almost there! Right now I have the Essie Fall 2017 Collection to share with you!

I actually just received the Winter and Holiday sets from Essie, so I’m hoping to have those up on the blog this weekend. I’ve been steadily clearing through my backlog and I’m just about caught up.

I actually really loved this Fall collection for a lot of reasons, we have a stunning shimmer, a gorgeous metallic and some classic creme shades that can be worn year round. This is a 90’s inspired collection and I spent my 90’s in middle school and high school pretty much, so I appreciate the theme (I graduated class of 2000)

Let’s take a look!

Mixtaupe

Mixtaupe is a warm ivory beige creme. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. The first 2 coats were a touch streaky but it evened out on the third coat.

Saved By The Belle

Saved By The Belle is a cool toned baby pink . I love this color on me, but I do have to mention it didn’t self level very well. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Knee-High Life

Knee High Life is a gorgeous berry red creme. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. Application was perfection.

As If!

As If! Is a greyed out medium blue creme. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Girly Grunge

Girly Grunge is a metallic silvery purple. I don’t generally care for metallics, but this one just looked amazing with my skin tone. There are minor brushstrokes, but nothing too bad considering it’s metallic.

I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Dressed To The Nineties

I saved my favorite for last. Dressed TO The Nineties is a deep, cool toned purple with blue green shimmer mixed in. The shimmer isn’t as obvious on the nail as it is in the bottle, but when the light hits just right – it’s incredible. Deep and mysterious. I used 2 coats and a glossy topcoat for these photos.

Essie Fall 2017 Collection Overview

Colorwise, I actually really enjoyed this collection and found all 6 shades to be wearable for me. Mixtaupe was a little streaky on the first 2 coats but evened out on the third and Saved By The Bell had self leveling issues, but all-in-all – I kind of expect that from lighter shades like that so I wasn’t shocked.

My Top Picks: Dressed To The Nineties, As If! and Knee-High Life
