Emily de Molly | March 2020 Release

Press Sample of the Emily de Molly
March 2020 Release

Happy Sunday! I’m relaxing most of today (cause it’s not like I can go anywhere) so we’re going to take a look at the Emily de Molly March 2020 Release!

This collection just released a couple days ago – so you can grab them now on both the Australian site as well as the US/International site.

There are 8 new polishes launching and they have a nice little mix of finishes going on. Two of these shades blew my socks off, and are definitely my top picks – but they aren’t the ones I thought they would be. You know how you look at a polish in the bottle sometimes and you just KNOW it will be your favorite? I did that and I was wrong. I still liked them all, but my favorites weren’t what I expected.

Ready to take a look?

Emily de Molly | Be The Solution

Be The Solution is a sheer, pale beige jelly with silver holographic microglitters and strong purple aurora shimmer packed in. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. It does dry with texture, so you may need 2 coats of top coat for a smooth finish.

The purple shimmer is strong and actually makes it look like they are purple holo microglitters used.

Emily de Molly | Consider The Source

Consider The Source is a medium mauvey lavender crelly base loaded with blue and red iridescent flakes, and silver holographic flecks. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

My photos make the base seem darker than it actually is. It’s a few shades lighter in person.

This is one of my top picks.

Emily de Molly | Give Up The Act

Give Up The Act is a medium steel blue crelly base with blue, green and orange to pink iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Emily de Molly | Intensity

Intensity is an ultramarine blue crelly base with matte white hex glitters in small and medium sizes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Very light texture from the glitters, but 1 coat of top coat should smooth it just fine.

Emily de Molly | Leaking Words (Thermal)

I’m going to start this one by saying – my photos are not color accurate. For the lighter shade it’s close, but the darker one – not really. My photos pull too much blue and I’m no photoshop pro – so I cannot color correct the dark color without royally effing up the lighter color and all that. This is actually greener in person (for the dark shade)

Leaking Words is a thermal that shifts pale blue (warm) to teal green (cold) with orange to green iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

I highly suggest looking at more swatch photos of this shade in particular because mine just aren’t correct.

Emily de Molly | Makeshift Wings

Makeshift Wings is another favorite of mine. This is a pale mauve tinge greige (grey/beige mix) crelly with green to blue shifting shimmer flecks. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Emily de Molly | Past, Present, Future

Past, Present, Future was another I thought would be in my top 3 – and while it’s possibly sitting pretty at #4 – it’s not a top 3 for me.

This is a medium navy blue jelly base loaded with pink to orange to gold to green shifting aurora shimmer and silver holographic micro flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Emily de Molly | Shades of Night

Shades of Night is my other personal favorite from this set. This is a dark vampy purple jelly base loaded with pink to orange to green shifting aurora shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Emily de Molly | March 2020 Release

This is definitely a release with a LOT of incredible shades within it. My top picks are: Consider The Source, Makeshift Wings and Shades of Night… but really you can’t go wrong with any of them. If I had more time I would have used matte top coat for the flake filled shades – but I was running low on time and about out of matte top coat (it’s on the way though!)
