Let’s take a closer look at both of these shades!
Jotunn is a stunning multichrome that shifts from a deep burgundy red to copper to gold to green that has a scattered holo effect with the addition of micro silver holographic bar glitters mixed in. The glitters are super small and add a lot of sparks to the polish. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos – but you could use 2 normal coats and get full opacity.
When I first received these – I honestly thought Jotunn would be my top pick – but this sucker won me over while swatching.
The Ritual is a cool toned purple based scattered holographic packed with pink to gold shifting microflecks, copper shimmer and itty bitty silver holographic bar glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat, but again – 2 normal coats would reach full opacity as well.
Bee’s Knees Lacquer Jotunn & The Ritual
This is actually my first time trying Bee’s Knees Lacquer – and I’m starting to see what all the fuss is about. Application was perfection. I would like to note that both polishes had a slightly stronger polish scent to them. Nothing horrid – but it was stronger. The sparkle and shift and elements in both polishes were stunning though, so I would still grab more. I’m just noting the scent for those more sensitive so you know to have air circulating where you are to help dissipate it a bit. Once dry – the scent was gone.
