We’re interrupting our regularly scheduled content to talk about a fun new gadget I received to review! The Altec Lansing SoundBucket XL Waterproof Bluetooth Portable Speaker !
If you love music and portable audio, this is definitely something to check out for yourself or as a gift for someone you know loves it too (or both!) If you also have an active lifestyle, or enjoy get togethers at the beach or pool, then this is especially incredible.
This is one of the larger bluetooth speakers I own, however, it’s the only waterproof one. Plus… it floats IN the water. That’s right – pool party? This bad boy can go IN the pool. We don’t personally have a pool, but my son’s best friend does, and they regularly have pool parties – so they’ll be borrowing this a lot since they don’t have to worry about it getting wet.
It’s very much shaped like a bucket (hence the name) and has a convenient handle to carry it around since it is larger than your average blue tooth speaker. Night party? It has 5 LED illuminating light modes to light it up and add to the ambiance.
To charge the speaker, there’s a compartment in the back to add the plug. There’s also an AUX connection and USB Smartphone charging (again convenient if you aren’t near an outlet.) The top portion of the “bucket” also has a Qi Wireless Charging station in case you don’t have a USB cable.
The Altec Lansing SoundBucket XL Waterproof Bluetooth Portable Speaker also allows for House Party Pairing, so you can pair it up with up to 50 compatible speakers. So if you are having a pool party – but some guests are in the house relaxing, they can enjoy the music throughout the party area.
The sound is incredible. It’s crisp plus there is a down firing subwoofer that REALLY makes it seem like you are using a giant sound system. You can feel the sound on the group and it just surrounds you. The rounded style has speakers on each side, so you truly get 360 degrees of music blasting.
Worried about longevity? Don’t! It has 20 hours of battery life! Charge it up and it’s all set to play all day.
This is the perfect item for those who love the outdoors since it can withstand the elements (waterproof!) If you are like me and have kids, they’ll love using it too for parties or get togethers. Plus with Just Ask, receive answers, updates and notifications via Siri or Google Voice Assistant through Bluetooth.
