Ninja Polish NerdLacquer Exclusives Swatches and Reviews
As most of you know by now, NerdLacquer is BACK! I am finally getting ahold of some major lemmings that I missed out on a year ago and I’m so giddy it’s ridiculous!
Ninja Polish carries 3 NerdLacquer polishes that are exclusive to her store – Acid of 1000 Fangs, Eight Gates and Smoke Dragon!
As part of my Birthday present, my boyfriend bought me a ton of NerdLacquers. I got 12 from the actual NerdLacquer restock (on NerdLacquer.com) and then another 3 on the NinjaPolish restock!
I took the explanation of each name from the Ninja Polish website and put it under each photo so get a better understanding of the names!
Ok enough rambling – lets see the photos!
Acid of 1000 Fangs:
The Acid of One Thousand Fangs technique (Zeshi Nensan) empowers its user to breathe forth a gout of highly caustic acid at a target. The acid burns flesh, and can melt rock and metal.
Acid of 1000 Fangs is a yellow-green with white microglitter, large and medium chartreuse hexagonal glitter, and neon yellow hexagonal glitter. I used 3 coats and a glossy top coat for this photo!
The Eight Gates are eight specific points on a person’s chakra circulatory system. They limit the overall flow of chakra (Ki/Chi) within a person’s body. The basis for the idea of the chakra gates comes from the body’s limits on the functions within it. This makes the body much weaker, but it keeps the body from expiring too soon. By opening these gates, the user can surpass their own physical limits at the cost of extreme damage to their own bodies. The eight gates, in order, are: the Release Gate (Kaimon, also “Initial Gate”), the Energy Gate (Kyuumon, also known as the Heal Gate, as releasing it triggers fast healing in the body), the Life Gate (Semon), the Wound Gate (Shomon, also known as the Pain Gate), the Forest Gate (Tomon, also known as the Limit Gate), the View Gate (Keimon),the Insanity Gate (Kyōmon), and the Death Gate (Shinmon). Opening the final gate will grant the user enough strength to surpass a Kage; however, the result of opening the final gate is that all the energy from the openers cells is used up, resulting in the user’s death. The state where all eight gates are opened is called Hachimon Tonk.
Eight Gates is an orchid purple creme with silver microglitter, medium white hexagonal and silver square glitter, plus extra large square black glitter. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for this photo!
The Smoke Dragon (Enryuu) technique allows the user to form smoke into the shape of one or more dragons that engulf a target or targets at the user’s direction. While the smoke dragon has no solid substance, it’s purpose is to cause suffocation from smoke inhalation. The only requirement for the technique is that the user have a source of smoke to manipulate.
This is the one I’ve been dying for all year! Smoke Dragon is a matte deep charcoal with silver, purple and black microglitter, gunmetal medium and large hexagonal glitter, and large black hex glitter. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat, but if you leave the top coat off, it is a matte glitter polish! I just prefer it with a glossy finish!
All 3 of these are ONLY available on Ninja Polish! Keep an eye on the Ninja Polish Facebook Page for stock updates!
I understand a lot of people were frustrated with the previous Ninja Polish restock, and honestly – I don’t want to hear any drama about it. I don’t do the whole drama thing. It took me a long time to get on the site and through checkout, just like a lot of other people dealt with. I actually had more in my cart but only was able to check out with these 3. Ninja Polish IS working on it so their next restock should be smoother.
All 3 of these polishes were $10.00 each
Hope you liked these swatches – and with that, I’m off to bed!

NerdLacquer The Ring Swatch and Review
I got my NerdLacquer package today!! My son’s birthday party was going on during the release, so Michelle from Things I Love at the Moment snagged the 4 I wanted!
Tonight I’m showing you The Ring which is brand new from NerdLacquer! I am SO ecstatic that Amanda is back. I completely understand her need for time off, but I missed her polishes!
The Ring is part of The Lord Of The Rings Collection, and this might be one of my favorites. The Ring is a shimmery gold base with a slight tinge of chartreuse in it. Mixed in with the gold is a pink shimmer and pink micro glitter, small gold hexes and slightly larger gold hexes. I used 2 coats for this pic and a glossy top coat. Everything was smooth and it absolutely GLOWS!
So what did you think? Are you going to try for The Ring in a future NerdLacquer release?
The Ring (and most NerdLacquers) are sold for $10.00, but a few are a bit higher in price.
You can find NerdLacquer on the following sites for sale (you may want to keep checking for release dates):
Harlow & Co.
I’ll have more NerdLacquer swatches up over the next few days!

NerdLacquer Antisocial Media and It’s Just a Flesh Wound Review and Swatches
Nick has been on a polish shopping spree for me! He bought me two more NerdLacquers to add to my collection! I received AntiSocial Media and It’s Just a Flesh Wound in the mail today and every time I find a favorite NerdLacquer, I try another one and it blows the previous favorite out of the water!
AntiSocial Media is a gorgeous turquoise base with holo and silver sparkle suspended alongside turquoise and silver hex glitter. I only used 2 coats to get AntiSocial Media fully opaque. This is such a gorgeous, vibrant color! Absolutely LOVE it!! AntiSocial Media is part of NerdLacquer’s IRC-ing Sparklies series.
It’s Just a Flesh Wound is a NerdLacquer I’ve had my eye on for AWHILE. I was back and forth with it and Nick bought it and made up my mind for me! It’s Just a Flesh Wound is a semi sheer black base with small and medium black, red, and copper hexagonal glitter, plus black and charcoal microglitter and big silver hex glitter. The choice in glitter colors is perfect, completely stands out against the black base. Gorgeous. It’s Just a Flesh Wound is part of NerdLacquer’s Something Completely Different series!
At the current time the NerdLacquer Etsy Store is on a brief vacation. Their gorgeous glittery goodies are selling out extremely quick and they need a little time to replenish and fill current orders before moving on. Keep an eye on these gems though. I currently have 6 NerdLacquers and I love each and every one of them!
Recently NerdLacquer had to bump their prices up from $8.00 per bottle to $10.00 per bottle due to cost of producing these magnificent polishes. Even at $10.00 a bottle I think these are worth each and every penny.
You can purchase NerdLacquer (when they are off vacation) from Amanda’s Etsy shop for $10.00 per bottle and there are a ton of polishes to choose from! Take the plunge! You won’t be disappointed!

Today the mailman brought me an amazing package – it was my order from NerdLacquer that I purchased on Etsy. I took a LONG time looking through the NerdLacquer store and picked out Nebula and I Think You Call Me…Sexy (but it was so hard to just pick 2!)
Nebula was the one I was dead set on getting. It is a deep fuchsia color with red and silver glitter, red and fuchsia small and medium hexagonal glitter, iridescent glitter, small lavender glitter, and loaded with fine holographic sparkle. It is gorgeous! The holographic glitter just sealed this for me. I used 2 coats of Nebula and a coat of Poshe top coat. Considering how much glitter is in this polish, I was surprised that the finish wasn’t lumpy or gritty. Even without the top coat Nebula wasn’t gritty. I could feel small bumps in the polish, but I was expecting it to be scratchy (but thankful it isn’t!!).
Here is a closeup of this beauty
The second Nerd Lacquer I purchased was (and I will say I was heavily swayed by the name…) I Think You Call Me…Sexy! This beauty is described as a brilliant royal blue with silver, iridescent, and holographic glitter, plus large silver and blue hexagonal glitter. I used 2 coats of I Think You Call Me … Sexy with Poshe top coat. Take a look!
Here’s a closeup!
What I absolutely love about both of these lacquers is that they aren’t chunky! They glide on smooth and the glitter lays flat on my nails with no gritty feeling! Even better? She sent a free gift with my order! The shipping confirmation I received from Amanda said that she enclosed a gift for the delay in shipping. I knew these were handmade so I didn’t expect it to be out the door the next day and was more than willing to wait, but the fact she sent another polish made me smile! Very sweet gesture! My freebie was Largo and I will be trying that on this weekend!
I purchased these from NerdLacquer’s Etsy shop for $8.00. It was almost 2 weeks from ordering the polish from Etsy to having it in my hands! Each color was well worth the wait! Take a look at what she has available here She replenishes inventory regularly so keep checking back!
I have my next order planned, just have to wait on payday!!
