Essence Colour & Go in Glamorous Life Swatches and Review
Color-intense and totally hip! the new versions of the colour & go nail polishes cover your nails in the brightest colors of the spring season and really get you in the mood for a deluxe styling session! ranging from pastel to bright to holographic – with these new colors, you’re sure to be super trendy! and thanks to the fast-drying formula and the flat brush, all it takes is one stroke of the brush per nail and your hands and feet are ready to hit the town!
available in 9 new colors and a total of 22 colors.
I always get a little excited when I have the opportunity to review a good quality nail polish that is at an amazingly affordable price. That’s pretty much what I found in Essence! I was sent 3 products of theirs to review, but today I will be showing you their fabulous nail polish in Glamorous Life!
Essence Glamorous Life is a gorgeous raspberry colored jelly polish filled with silver shimmer. I am NOT wearing a top coat in these photos. Essence Colour & Go in Glamorous Life dried super fast and super glossy! In sunlight the flashes of shimmer are gorgeous.
This is Glamorous Life in the shade. Still gorgeous, still shimmery and amazingly glossy!
Not only is this a fast drying beauty, it also incredibly inexpensive. Ulta has them on their website for 99 cents. THAT’S IT! What a bargain! The bottles are smaller than others, for 99 cents you get 5ml of polish (.16 fl oz) . The brushes are flat brushes and were really easy to control. I didn’t do any cleanup for these photos at all.
There are currently 22 nail colors available through Essence, 9 of which are new for Spring! My 2 current wants from Essence are A Lovely Secret and Where is the Party?
Keep an eye out for my next Essence review! I have a Volume Boost Mascara as well Tint It! color changing lip gloss to review still :)
To check out Essence and their range of polish as well as cosmetics, head on over to their http://www.essence.eu/us/home.html
***The product in this post was sent to me for review. I was not paid for this review and all opinions are my own***
Final Thoughts
This is definitely a line of polish that needs to be checked out! Gorgeous color selection at a price that will NOT break the bank! What more could you want? Essence Colour & Go dries fast, goes on effortless and is packed with color! Great polish at an unbelievable price!

Milani Pure Love Collection Swatches and Review
Before I even get going on my post – I want to give a HUGE apology for the quality of the photos you are about to view. The amazing camera that is usually used for my blog is currently in the shop :( I should have it back in the next week or so, but the Milani Pure Love Collection is Limited Edition for the month of April, so I couldn’t delay it AT ALL! Would hate to let these lovelies go to waste. So we improvised with a lower quality camera so I could get this out.
Onto the post!
This April Milani has released a Limited Edition set of 3 nail lacquers in Gray Tux, Bridesmaid and Wedding Dress as well as a True Romance eyeshadow trio to match! It is their Pure Love Collection, which can be found at select Walgreens for the month of April!
We’ll start with the Milani Nail Lacquer swatches!
Milani Wedding Dress is a gorgeous silvery white polish with a metallic like finish. This polish glows! Application was a little rough on Wedding Dress, but only during the first coat. Dry time took almost 7 minutes per coat as well, but I find that to be fairly common with metallic like polishes. 2 coats were used for this photo!
Milani Bridesmaid was hands down my favorite of the 3 Pure Love nail lacquers. Bridesmaid is a champagne polish with a foil finish and little pops of copper in it. Stunning! It shimmers like CRAZY outdoors. It isn’t just a good wedding color, its an amazing summer color! Formula wise, Bridesmaid was easy to work with, 2 coats finished it off ! Dry time was about 7 minutes (just like Wedding Dress!)
Last up is Milani’s Gray Tux! Gray Tux is a slightly sheer black jelly polish infused with small silver glitter as well as medium silver hex glitter! The amount of glitter in this one is phenomenal. I didn’t have to fish around the bottle for it either! Plenty came out with each brush stroke. My nails do have the slightly bumping glitter feeling (bumpy… not gritty!) which was quickly evened out by using Milani Top Coat! I only used 2 coats for this gorgeous glitter infused mani.
The Milani True Romance Eyeshadow Trio is just as amazing as the nail lacquers! First I’ll show you the trio:
Sorry for the dustiness of it, I swatched it before I thought to take a photo of the quad. Silly me!
The quality of these shadows are wonderful. They apply smooth and evenly and blend surprisingly well. No chalkiness whatsoever! Because of my camera issue, I couldn’t get any decent eye shots. Instead I did arm swatches, which I really try not to do without eye shots but this couldn’t be avoided :(
These swatches are only 1 swipe each. They also apply beautifully wet if you prefer a more dramatic effect! These build easily too for more impact.
As I stated earlier, Milani’s Pure Love Collection is available for a limited time at select Walgreen’s for the month of April only! So if you want them, you need to hurry up and get them!
Even though these gorgeous colors are only available at select Walgreens, you can still check out Milani’s fabulous color selection of Nail Lacquers as well as Cosmetics on their website www.MilaniCosmetics.com
***Products in this post were provided for review. I was not paid for this review and all opinions are my own***
Final Thoughts
If you can find these beauties, get them! The quality is wonderful especially for the price. If I had to choose 1 to say "YOU NEED THIS NOW!" for I would definitely say Bridesmaid, but if given the chance, you should get all 3 lacquers. If you are also on the lookout for a neutral eyeshadow that can be played up to a dramatic effect, True Romance Eye Trio is also a perfect edition to your makeup stash!

Milani High Speed Fast Dry Nail Lacquer Swatches and Reviews
Do I have some nail polish spam for you ladies today! Last week I came home to a box from Milani packed full of 39 nail polishes! YES! THIRTY NINE! It was so hard to decide what or how to start swatches and reviews on so many amazing colors, and ultimately I decided to break them up into multiple posts. Today’s post features Milani High Speed Fast Dry nail polish paired with different glitters that Milani provides (some are from the SPECIALTY NAIL LACQUER ONE COAT GLITTER line while others are from SPECIALTY NAIL LACQUER JEWEL FX line!)
One thing I will say before we start the spam, is that Milani’s High Speed Fast Dry polishes should be on EVERYONE’s list! These all had wonderful finishes and were in fact FAST DRY! So if you are in a hurry, trying to get your nails done while the little one naps, or just HATE to wait for your polish to dry – Milani High Speed Fast Dry Nail Lacquer is PERFECT for you!
Please excuse the random cuts on my fingers. I got in a fight with a lot of paper and apparently lost.
For the first set I used Violet Dash & Lavender Fizz One Coat Glitter as an accent nail:
This is ONE coat of Violet Dash as well as only ONE coat of Lavender Fizz – amazing coverage and FAST dry time! Lavender Fizz was a perfect accent for Violet Dash!
Next up is Jiffy Orange & Pink Flare One Coat Glitter as an accent nail!
Pink Flare was hard to capture, but it is a stunning pink holographic glitter. Jiffy Orange was perfect application wise. I did use two coats of Jiffy Orange for this one, it had good coverage but a couple spots on my nails were thinner than others, so 2 coats to be safe.
The next set is White on the Spot & Teal Glitter Jewel FX as an accent nail
All I can say is that this is the PERFECT white. No streaks and it came out gorgeous. Teal is a mix of small blue glitter particles with larger hex shaped blue, green and silver glitter.
Ready for some more?
Next is Yellow Whiz and Red Jewel FX as an accent nail:
Of all the High Speed Fast Dry Nail Lacquers, Yellow Whiz was by FAR the most difficult to work with. I actually used three coats for this picture. Maybe I got a bad batch, I don’t know, but Yellow Whiz was thin and streaky. When I applied the first two coats, the polish was sliding down the sides of my nail and leaving the middle of my nail almost bare. I like the finished product, it’s a vibrant, lovely yellow, but it took three coats to get there.
Now that the difficult one is out of the way, here is one of my favorites! Black Swift and Twinkle One Coat Glitter!
Black Swift is a full coverage, one coat polish. Gorgeous, Glossy and smooth. Twinkle paired up with it was perfect for my tastes. I own a few black polishes, but I don’t think any of them stand up to Black Swift. Twinkle is a gorgeous mixture of blue and purple glitter in a clear base. I used one coat of Black Swift and one coat of Twinkle!
The next pairing is Hot Pink Frenzy and Hot Pink Jewel FX:
Hot Pink Frenzy was gorgeous. It’s hard to tell by the picture but it has a gorgeous lighter pink shimmer to it. This was another perfect one coater as well. Hot Pink glitter is a mixture of silver and pink hex glitter. This was probably my favorite of the Milani Jewel Fx Glitters!
Almost done!
Next up – Fast Fuchsia and Fuchsia Jewel FX :
Fast Fuchsia is a bright without being blindingly bright. The coverage was good but I did use two coats for this one. Fuchsia Jewel FX glitter is a mixture of small fuchsia glitter and larger fuchsia hex glitter mixed in. Separately I loved both of these, together… not so much. Fuchsia Jewel FX Glitter didn’t look quite so dark in the bottle.
Onto the last set! Rapid Cherry and Lavender Jewel FX !
Rapid Cherry is a gorgeous Red! I was surprised at how much I loved it (I usually like red, but I rarely reach for red polishes). I paired it up with Lavender Jewel FX Glitter because.. it was the last glitter I had in the batch and I didn’t want to leave it out. Lavender Jewel FX Glitter is very pretty but hard to see over Rapid Cherry. Lavender has small lavender (shocked right?) glitter particles and slightly larger lavender hex glitter mixed in.
Whew!
I will do another blog post for the different Milani Jewel FX glitters as well as the Milani One Coat Glitters, but I wanted to include them in this post as well!
Milani can be found online at www.MilaniCosmetics.com as well as various drugstores such as Walgreens and CVS
Milani High Speed Fast Dry Nail Lacquers, Jewel FX Glitters and One Coat Glitters retail for $4.99 a bottle (considering the quality, this is a REALLY good price!)
Keep an eye out for my future Milani posts! I have a LOT more to show you!
***Products in this post were sent to me for review. I was not paid for this review and all opinions are my own***
Final Thoughts
Overall I really loved Milani High Speed, Fast Dry nail lacquers. Yellow Whiz was the only let down, and I wish there was a blue nail lacquer in the set. All of the Jewel FX Glitters as well as One Coat Glitters had good coverage and spread easily, very little manipulation required which is a huge plus for me. If you are in a drugstore on doing some online shopping, I would definitely recommend snagging some of these gems.

Jordana Glitters Nail Polish Reviews and Swatches – PICTURE HEAVY!
Diamonds are a girl’s best friend…but Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald & Amethyst are a family of jewels nails will adore.
Jordana gave me the opportunity to review 18 (!) of their amazing glitters from their Glitters Specialty Nail Polish line. I was overwhelmed by all of the different colors and varieties available and couldn’t wait to tackle the swatches. If you are EVER looking for a certain glitter head to your local K-Mart and check out this line! Jordana has a little something for everyone in this line!
My main thing about this collection is that the use of clear bases makes it entirely possible to either layer the polish over a base color or wear it alone. I chose to do almost all of the review pictures over a bare nail so you could see the density and pure color of the glitters without any alteration. I also only used 1 coat of glitter on each so you could see that this glitter really packs a punch! Towards the end of this post I added some color as a base along with the glitter in different ways to see the wonderful uses of the Jordana Specialty Glitters.
Lunar Lights is the only Jordana Glitters Specialty Polish that I used a white polish as a base. The only reason I did this was to show the colors reflecting in the glitter. Lunar Lights has both fine white iridescent glitter and medium white iridescent hex glitter suspended in a clear base. The clear base is a little thicker than I am use to, but when it dried down the glitters were fairly smooth over my nail.
Fairy Dust was a fun “pretty princess” like pink and holographic glitter. Fairy Dust is a densely packed glitter polish with super fine pink glitter and slightly larger round holographic glitter mixed in. I only used 1 coat of this polish on my bare nails and the color was so pretty!
Celebration is one of my favorites (I’m such a huge fan of purple!) and it has very fine purple glitter as well as slightly larger purple round glitter mixed into a clear base. This is another densely packed glitter and would be fine on its own or over another color. I used 1 coat of Celebration on my nails.
Green Glitz is a perfect glitter to have on hand when Christmas rolls around – perfect Christmas green! Green Glitz is small and medium green glitter in a green tinged clear base. This is another densely packed glitter and covers plenty of the nail in just 1 coat.
Blue Bash is a very vibrant fine and medium aqua blue glitter suspended in a clear base. This is a very pretty spring/summer blue!
Copper Blaze is one of the “chunky” glitters of the collection. Copper Blaze is a bunch of copper colored round glitters suspended in a thick clear base. I got a TON of glitter each time I dipped the brush in and they were easily spreadable throughout my whole nail. These glitters were easy to manipulate and place.
Funky Gold Town is the same as Copper Blaze – it is a chunky round glitter in a clear base, but obviously instead of copper – the glitter is gold! When I see these polishes I think they would be fabulous on nail tips.
The next gold glitter in the collection is Gold Glam and it is probably another favorite of mine. Gold Glam is very fine gold glitter densely packed into a clear base with diamond shaped gold holographic glitters mixed in. The diamond holographic glitter is harder to find in this glitter, but I was able to get 1 or 2 out easily with each dip into the polish.
Bronze Fest is the one that screams “FALL!!” to me. Picture a lovely brown polish base with Bronze Fest just on the tips for accent? Gorgeous. Bronze Fest has both bronze and gold micro glitter with slightly larger round gold and bronze circles in it.
Pixie Pink is a fabulous pink glitter polish. Suspended in a clear base there are fine particles of the perfect pink glitter and slightly larger pink hexagon glitter. Very girly, very “me”.
Rhinestones is the silver dazzling glitter. Just like diamonds coating your nails, you will find fine silver glitter particles as well as slightly larger hexagon silver glitter.
Cosmic glitter has very fine blue glitter in a clear base with silver, green and blue larger chunky round glitter mixed in with it. Love the colors mixed in with this one, and the name is incredibly fitting.
Magenta Magic is another vibrant glitter in the collection. As the name suggest, this one is packed with fine magenta glitter as well as larger round chunky glitters suspended in a clear base. Very bright, very glam.
Sequins was probably one of my least favorite in the collection. Not because of the application really, but I’ve never been an overly huge fan of color mixtures scattered within. Sequins has small red glitter scattered in with blue, magenta and silver chunky glitters. It is pretty, but I prefer solid colors in glitter for some reason – just a personal preference.
Celestial is another beauty of a glitter. Gorgeous bright turquoise micro glitter densely packed in with slightly larger hexagon turquoise glitter. Another perfect spring/summer glitter to liven up a mani!
Gemstones is yet another chunky colorful glitter. Much like the name, the chunky glitters in this polish cover a lot of the popular gemstones. Ruby, Emerald, Diamond, Aquamarine, Citrine and Amethyst colored chunky circle glitter all suspended in a clear base. This was another easily manipulated glitter and was easy to place on the nail with little to no work.
My Superstar explodes with color. My Superstar has fine particles of gold glitter mixed in with small blue glitter and medium sized red and gold hexagon glitter.
LA City Nights is another favorite of mine. This lovely has small dark purple dazzling glitter particles with small blue round glitter mixed in. Absolutely beautiful mix of two colors in a clear base to make a gorgeous overlay on a black base polish.
Next I used 5 of the different glitters over colored bases to see how you can use it to liven up a mani if you so desire! On my thumb I used Funky Town Gold on the tip over a coral-pink base. On my index finger I brushed Bronze Fest across the tip of my nail over a shimmery brown base. On the middle finger I used a gunmetal grey and a coat of LA City Lights over it. My ring finger has a pale goldish purple base with Gold Glam as a gradient from the middle of the nail up to the tip. My little pinkie has a bubblegum pink polish with a funky french diagonal design using Fairy Dust. So many different styles of glitter and so much you can do with it. Love it!
That concludes my review on 18 Jordana Specialty Glitters Nail Polish. Overall I am extremely pleased with this collection. If you are on the look out for a decently priced glitter to accent your manicure for a night out (or just because you are a glitter lover) I would recommend taking a peek at this collection. There is a little something for everyone and a mix of chunky glitters, fine glitters, multi colored and vibrant colors. There are still 6 Glitter Specialty polishes in the Jordana line that have yet to be released!
I was a little taken back with the thickness of the clear base used for some of the glitters, but it made it so that when the polish dried the glitters didn’t feel so gritty or chunky, which I prefer. Most could simply add a top coat to polish the glitter off and be done with a mostly smooth feeling left.
Jordana Glitter Specialty Nail Polishes and other Jordana Nail Polish colors can be found in K-Mart for $2.99 a bottle.

L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Nail Review and Swatches
Color addicts everywhere can rejoice as L’Oreal Paris’ Colour Riche family is making its nail debut. This breakthrough collection fuses prestige-inspired shades with new and improved formulas and an innovative brush for one-stroke application. New L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Nail delivers pure, rich coverage, high-wattage shine and rare color intensity. Each of the 42 stunning shades falls into one of four unique mood families.
Become a color addict – Right down to your fingernails!
I was recently given the amazing opportunity to review 6 colors from the L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Nail line. The 42 polish collection was divided into 4 groups of color!
Iconic Muse – Colors that make you feel iconic
Hopeless Romanic – The nail’s ‘little black dress’
Femme Fatale – The most sensual shades that will transform any situation
Trendsetter – Fashion Colors dedicated to nailistas!
Here are the 6 fabulous colors I will be reviewing today.
One of my favorites of the group – Pink me Up! This is an amazing bubblegum pink from their Hopeless Romantic family. I used 3 coats to get the opacity I needed, but that is the only bad thing I can possibly say about Pink Me Up! It glided on easily and effortlessly and is such a playful pink color.
Violet Vixen is another one I adore from L’Oreal. Violet Vixen is a wonderfully vibrant violet nail polish from the Iconic Muse color family and a gorgeous Spring color. Much like Pink Me Up! it went on with a slight jelly like finish. I had to move slightly quick on this one because dry time was faster than I expected. This one was good to go in just 2 coats!
Tweet me is the first yellow I have in my collection, and as you can tell – yellow just isn’t my color. Tweet Me is a true yellow color with a gorgeous pinky gold shimmer within it and is from the Trend Setter color family . I had the worst time with application on this one, I needed 3 coats to get to the opacity shown in the photo, but had I kept going I do believe I would have needed another 2 coats at least to get to an opacity I would desire from it. Of the 6, Tweet Me was the sheerest. Dry time was quick though, took about 2 minutes per coat.
Charmed, I’m Sure is a lovely pale bronze with a hint of pink and has a metallic finish. Charmed, I’m Sure is from the Hopeless Romantic color family. I only needed 2 coats to get the right opacity. Dry time took closer to 4 minutes per coat, but it still wasn’t too bad. Like most metallic finishes, I could see very faint brush strokes on my nail after Charmed, I’m Sure dried.
Now for the vampy polish I adore – Haute Couture Red. Haute Couture Red is from the Femme Fatale color family of course! I only used 2 coats to achieve full opacity and it is a gorgeous deep burgundy almost black. This one also had a jelly like finish. Dry time was quick, about 2 minutes per coat.
Last but not least is VIP Status. Color wise – I love VIP Status. Formula wise? Not my style. VIP Status is from the Trend Setter color family and although I got great coverage out of it, it was fairly runny and pooled around my cuticles. Because of the darker color, cleanup was more difficult (as you can probably see from the picture!) VIP Status is a graphite blue color with green shimmer and dries to a metallic finish. Dry time was close to 3 minutes per coat. I used 2 coats to complete this manicure.
Overall I am pleased with this collection. I only reviewed a very small portion of what L’Oreal had to offer, but I would most certainly purchase more, but I would probably stick to the creme finishes. The color range that is offered is phenomenal and there is definitely something for everyone within these 4 color families. L’Oreal did a wonderful job!
L’Oreal can be found at most drugstores such as CVS and Walgreens and retails for about $5.99.

Revlon Facets of Fuchsia Review and Swatches
I’ve been on a major glitter kick lately, especially for glitters that are in a colored base rather than just a clear base. I kept seeing Facets of Fuchsia by Revlon whenever I went to Walgreen’s, but didn’t grab it until recently. I should have grabbed it sooner!
Revlon Facets of Fuchsia is a sheerish black base with fuchsia glitter and larger fuchsia hex glitter suspended in it. I needed 3 coats of Revlon Facets of Fuchsia to get the right opacity I wanted from it, at 2 I could still see through my nail a bit on the tips.
This is one of my favorite polishes now! Without a DOUBT!
The glitter isn’t gritty either for those wondering! I used 1 layer of Poshe Fast Dry Top Coat over the mani and my nails were nice and smooth! Love it!!
Revlon Facets of Fuchsia can also be found under the name Scandalous. Facets of Fuchsia was the first released name and was brought back as Scandalous within Revlon’s permanent line!
