Ninja Polish Divinity and Ambrosia Swatches and Review

Ninja Polish Divinity and Ambrosia Swatches and Review

I’m sad to say that these are my FIRST Ninja Polish Nail Lacquers… there are MANY of her polishes I eye and want, but never was able to grab (darn those no buys!).

Divinity and Ambrosia went live on the Ninja Polish site a week ago and I grabbed them both!  I was only going to get Divinity, but I figured that if I’m gonna do it – I just need to DO IT!  Take a look at the 2 new polishes I have added to my ever growing collection!

Divinity:

Divinity

Divinity is the polish that MADE me place an order!  Now, this can be layered over other polishes for a stunning effect, but I thought it was rather stunning on it’s own.  This is 2 coats of Divinity with a glossy top coat!

Divinity 2

You can see some color shift in this photo and the amazing shimmer!

Just… perfect!

Ambrosia:

Ambrosia

My new favorite red!  The color shift in Ambrosia is not as obvious as in Divinity, but it’s there!  It goes from a red, to an orangey red, to a reddish pink.  I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat!

Ambrosia 2

And a Closeup:

Ambrosia Closeup

The shimmer is AMAZING!

Application for both polishes was flawless!  These can both be layered over other colors, but I love them on their own!  If I layer them though, I will post about that too!

Both Ambrosia and Divinity retail for $11.00 on www.NinjaPolish.com

Divinity is currently sold out, but Ambrosia is still available!

What do you think?  Did you snag these when they released, or do you plan on doing so in the future?

Check out some more amazing ladies who wore Divinity!

One amazing lady is Jen’s Nail Files!  She doesn’t have a blog, so I’m adding her pic into my post since she can’t enter in the inlinkz code to connect to the rest of the ladies <3

eDiva The Princess Acrylic Cosmetic Organizer Review (Collab Post with Love for Lacquer!)

eDiva The Princess Acrylic Cosmetic Organizer Review (Collab Post with Love for Lacquer!)

As a lot know, Nick pushed me to start a blog.  He was thrilled when I finally gave in and he got to work creating my webpage and all that.  What he wasn’t so thrilled with is our lack of storage space and the boxes that started piling up in the corner full of supplies and polish that I had absolutely no where to put.  I purchased some small drawer units, but I still didn’t have enough space. Because of our layout, there wasn’t really room for helmers or any floor standing drawer system.

I was approached a week ago to review an eDiva Acrylic Organizer and though “Why not”?  MAN OH MAN!  Because of the mail theft I experienced, I had the delivery sent to my work.  It was HEAVY.  I actually needed a male co worker to carry it to my car for me, and I think even he was struggling a tiny bit on the last little stretch of the journey.

I was expecting a typical acrylic organizer which would fit some of my stuff and alleviate a bit of the clutter, I was able to eliminate 7 small to medium boxes I had piled in the corner (which was all of them) and Nick might have cried some tears of joy to have more floor space back.  This is titled a makeup organizer, but I desperately needed it for my nail products!

Ok enough chatter – lets see some pics!

Full Photo

The eDiva Princess is a 6 drawer system made with thick acrylic.  I love that the whole thing is clear so I can see whats in the drawers.  It did come with dividers, which you will see in a few of the photos!  This case doesn’t wobble or show any signs of having a “weak point”.

3/4 view:

3-4 view

Sorry the pictures appear so dark, the lighting in this room is iffy and the eDiva Princess doesn’t fit in a lightbox ;)

Top View:

Now some of the drawers so you can see what this holds!

Drawer 1 (starting from the bottom!)

bottom drawer

This is the tallest of the drawers and the only one that can fit most polish bottles standing up.  I have a shelf right now that holds most of my polish, but I don’t have one that holds my top coats, base coats and nail care – so I used the bottom drawer to do this!  I used a divider in this drawer (it is optional so I can take it out if needed).  I have my top/base coats, cuticle care, nail whitener and hand scrubs and lotions in here.

2nd drawer:

minis

I have a ton of mini polishes I’ve purchased over time, or was sent for review.  I have 115 mini’s in this drawer right now and still have some room to spare!

3rd drawer:

3rd

This is my nail maintenance drawer for the most part!  Files, buffers, cuticle oil and balms, clippers, snippers and cuticle pushers!  In the back are my nail art stripper paints as well.

4th Drawer:

4th

This was kind of my miscellaneous travel drawer!  Travel packets of hand creams and single use removers, correction pens, foot prep, etc!

5th Drawer:

5th

Annnd the art drawer!  Fimo sticks, nail gems, glitters, glue and striping tape!

6th and Final Drawer:

6th

This is where I am keeping my stamping supplies, stencils, decals magnetix and qtips for cleanup!

Whew – that’s all of them!  I was able to fit quite a bit in here and some drawers still have room to spare!  I have it sitting on my desk and it should be nice to not have to dig around in search of something I need mid mani!

The actual Dimensions of the eDiva Princess is 12″ wide by 16″ high.  It comes with X shaped dividers as well as a 1 year warranty too!

The eDiva Princess retails for $297.00 (free shipping) OR you can make 3 easy payments of $99.00 if $297 at once is a bit too much for you!

If the eDiva Princess is a little too big for your needs, eDiva also carries the Duchess which retails for $198.00 or 3 easy payments of $66.00!

This one unit eliminated a ton of clutter and everything is in one neat and organized area!

I used my eDiva for my Nail Polish & Supply needs – check out Love For Lacquer’s post on how she used it for her Cosmetic Needs!  These are just 2 uses for the eDiva Princess – but there are so many more!

Head on over to eDiva.com for order info!

Milani Texture Swatches and Review

Milani Texture Swatches and Review

Collage

Ready for some more Texture Nail Lacquer?  I’m really loving the new texture craze and I honestly don’t see it dying down any time soon!  Obviously this is a preference thing, but I do recommend you at least try it before you fully decide you don’t like it!  I know when I first heard about them, I was thinking to myself “No, thank you!”  But as they started rolling out I fell in love!

Unlike the other texture style polishes I’ve tried, the Milani Textures do not have glitter added!  BUT – what they lack in sparkle they fully make up for in pigmentation!

Milani Textures are Limited Edition – so grab em while you can!  Textures comes in 6 gorgeous and vibrant shades!

Take a look!

Spoiled In Fuchsia:

Spoiled in Fuchsia

Spoiled In Fuchsia is my favorite of the 6!  A vibrant fuchsia matte polish.

Tainted In Red:

Tainted in Red

Tainted In Red is a vibrant orangish red.

Yellow Mark:

Yellow Mark

Yellow Mark is BRIGHT yellow!  Not neon, but still bright!

Purple Streak:

Purple Streak

Purple Streak is a deep purple.  Probably my second favorite of the 6!

Aqua Splash:

Aqua Splash

Aqua Splash is a medium aqua shade.

Shady Gray:

Shady Gray

Shady Gray is a deep gray!

I didn’t want to be repetitive in each description, but all 6 polishes required 2 coats each.  Application was super easy!  When applied it appears to be a crelly polish with fine sand in it.  As the polish dries, it dries matte and gives way to the textured “stucco like” appearance.  I am looking forward to doing some nail art with these polishes!  They would give off a great 3-D like appearance for things like flower centers and such!

Each polish had AMAZING pigmentation!  They weren’t sheer by any means, no streaks and the dry time was pretty fast.

Milani Textures Retail for $4.99.

Milani Textures are limited edition. These will be available at Meijer, Walgreens, HEB, and Fred Meyer. You’ll also be able to purchase these from the Milani Cosmetics website.

NerdLacquer The Ring Swatch and Review

NerdLacquer The Ring Swatch and Review

I got my NerdLacquer package today!!  My son’s birthday party was going on during the release, so Michelle from Things I Love at the Moment snagged the 4 I wanted!

Tonight I’m showing you The Ring which is brand new from NerdLacquer!  I am SO ecstatic that Amanda is back.  I completely understand her need for time off, but I missed her polishes!

The Ring:

The Ring

The Ring is part of The Lord Of The Rings Collection, and this might be one of my favorites.  The Ring is a shimmery gold base with a slight tinge of chartreuse in it.  Mixed in with the gold is a pink shimmer and pink micro glitter, small gold hexes and slightly larger gold hexes.  I used 2 coats for this pic and a glossy top coat.  Everything was smooth and it absolutely GLOWS!

Closeup:

The Ring Close

So what did you think?  Are you going to try for The Ring in a future NerdLacquer release?

The Ring (and most NerdLacquers) are sold for $10.00, but a few are a bit higher in price.

You can find NerdLacquer on the following sites for sale (you may want to keep checking for release dates):

Zoya PixieDust Collection Swatches and Review

Zoya PixieDust Collection Swatches and Review

I have fallen in LOVE with texture polishes!  I honestly never thought I would, but they got me!

Zoya has released their PixieDust Collection and I just received them yesterday!  PixieDust polishes are matte finish polishes with a touch of sparkle!  I have been dying to see these in person and they were well worth the wait!

Collage

Infused with magic and wonder! The latest “must-have” nail polish finish – textured, matte and sparkling! This newly developed formula is sure to captivate with a magical sparkle and sugary finish like no other. The color experts at Zoya have created six, long-wearing stunners for the introduction of this enchanting look.

So that I’m not repetitive in each description – application was super easy with PixieDusts!  When applied they went on like a sparkle filled jelly polish, then the texture popped out as each coat dried.  Dry time was just a tad longer than a normal Zoya polish.  You can add a glossy top coat to each polish if you like – I chose not to because I absolutely loved these as is!

Chyna:

Chyna

Chyna is a deep red shade with red sparkle.  I used 2 coats for this photo.

Vespa:

Vespa is a gorgeous minty shade with silver sparkle.  Perfect for Spring!  I used 2 coats for this photo.

Godiva:

Godiva

Godiva is one of the first nude shades I really love.  Godiva is a medium beige with silver sparkle, of all the PixieDusts, Godiva’s sparkle was the least noticeable.  I needed 3 coats for this photo.

Dahlia:

Dahlia front

Dahlia was the one polish of the collection I was least excited for, but I ended up loving it more than I thought I would!  The silver sparkle set in this black base was amazing!  I used 2 coats for this photo.

I love the closeup of Dahlia.

London:

London is a medium grey shade with silver sparkle.  I used 2 coats for this photo.

Nyx:

Nyx

Nyx is THE polish I was waiting on!!  For starters, it’s a purple shade.  Aside from that Nyx is a gaming name I use, so I had to have it.  Nyx is a beautiful periwinkle with silver sparkle.  I used 2 coats for this photo.

Nyx Closeup:

This collection is a must have!  Of course, because of the texture – it is preference based.  I know a decent number of women who aren’t into the whole gritty feel on their nails, and it’s understandable.  I was torn when I first heard about texture polishes, but the texture isn’t as bad as I thought it would be.  They definitely look sandier than they feel!

Retail Price: $9.00

Thinking of purchasing?  Zoya has a program called Share the Love!  If you click on the following link and set up a new account – you get a FREE polish (Just pay shipping!).. add a second polish and shipping is free PLUS the first polish is free!  I do get points based on my Share the Love link, which I generally flip and hold giveaways to spend the points.  You get a free polish, I get 100 points.
