Desert Monsoon Collection

Happy Monday! I spent the weekend helping get our pool set up for the season and doing some swatching in between. I have several new sets to share, but I’m going to kick off the week with the What’s Up Nails Desert Monsoon Collection!

The What’s Up Nails Desert Monsoon Collection consists of two cremes and 4 shimmer flecks with a varying degree of flecks going on. The majority of this collection would fall into the “office safe” neutrals for those offices still requiring it (do they still require it??”

All 6 shades are available on the What’s Up Nail website and you can pick up individual shades or the whole set in one go.

Let’s take a closer look at each shade.

What’s Up Nails | Desert Rose

Desert Rose is a delicate baby pink neutral creme base with gold gold micro shimmer flecks. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

What’s Up Nails | Downpour

Downpour is a dusty denim blue crelly base loaded with blue to purple shifting shimmer flecks mixed in. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

What’s Up Nails | Joshua Tree

Joshua Tree is a slightly dusty beigey brown creme. Almost the color of milk chocolate when someone who doesn’t like a strong chocolate taste makes one… so it’s got that milky pale brown look. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

What’s Up Nails | Succulent

Succulent is a medium purple crelly base with pink to purple iridescent micro flecks mixed in. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This shade is slightly bolder in person. My camera softened it up a bit.

What’s Up Nails | Sun

Sun is a light-medium gold chrome like effect polish with gold to green shimmer micro flecks packed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The green shift is more on the subtle side, but it is there – I caught glimpses of it but it is super camera shy. Primarily you will see gold with a green twinkle.

What’s Up Nails | Tempest

Tempest is a medium dusty mauve leaning rose pink creme. In the bottle it’s one of those shades that I always see and think “meh” but when I put it on, it just looks so good. Plus it’s a universal “good for all occasions” type shade. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

What’s Up Nails | Desert Monsoon Collection

I’ve been purchasing What’s Up Nails stamping plates for years, so when approached about a new polish collection – I was pretty excited to see what they would be. They didn’t disappoint. The cremes have smooth, buttery formulas and the shimmers have depth and just enough sparkle to make them stand out without being over the top. Overall it’s a nicely done set and I look forward to seeing future sets.

Price: $12.75 Each | $68.85 Full Collection
