Who’s ready to see Vapid’s newest assortment releasing soon? I hope you all are if you clicked the link! Tonight I’ll be sharing the Vapid Lacquer May 2018 Releases!

This is a smaller release of only 5 polishes. Within those 5 releases we have 2 super holo magnetic polishes, 1 magnetic topper and 2 returning colors that got the Dirty treatment!

Now, Krys understands that not everyone is on the Magnetic train (toot toot) so all 3 magnetics that she has created can be worn beautifully without the magnet effect.  I did the 2 main magnetics with and without the use of a magnet so you can see them both ways.

Let’s jump in, all release details that I have will be below!

Magnetic Personality

Magnetic Personality  is a super saturated holographic (think Cyber Punkish) with an ultrachrome chameleon magnetic effect in a purple to magenta to gold shift. It also has shimmer and Aurora pigment that shifts red to gold to greenish for extra oomph. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Without Magnetic Effect

Cautiously Optimistic

Cautiously Optimistic is a super saturated holographic (think Cyber Punkish again) with an ultrachrome chameleon magnetic effect that’s an aqua to blue to purple shift. It also has shimmer and Aurora pigment that shifts blue to green for extra oomph. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Without Magnetic Effect

Taking Up Space

Taking Up Space is the magnetic topper! I only showed this with the magnet effect, but it does look amazing without the effect. This is a sheer (cause it’s a topper) deep purple (almost like a blackened purple) with scattered holographic, multichrome flakes and a purple to copper ultrachrome chameleon magnetic effect. I used 1 thick coat over Vapid Pessimist.

Watercolor Octopus Dirty Holo XXX

Two fan favorites were brought back and got the dirty treatment! First up is Watercolor Octopus Dirty Holo XXX! This is a pale aqua has a delicate electric violet shimmer and silver holographic flecks added to it for extra sparkle. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Wanderlust Dirty Holo XXX

Wanderlust Dirty Holo XXX is a gorgeous periwinkle with bright pink shimmer, as well as silver holographic flecks mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Vapid Lacquer May 2018 Releases

The magnetic effects are stronger in person, I just want to say that first off. The super saturated holographic in Cautiously Optimistic and Magnetic Personality is CRAZY good and in my photos it battles with the magnetic effect – but in person it’s much more apparent. The holo is 10x stronger in person too.

I was thrilled to see Watercolor Octopus and Wanderlust given the dirty treatment because they were actually the colors that got me to join the Vapid group, which I’m now an admin in – so I guess it worked out. They weren’t my first Vapid shades (my first experience was the Holo Hookup shade (Dali’s Elephants) and then I saw these two shortly after and bought them.
