March 2019 Release

It’s about time for the Vapid Lacquer March 2019 Release, and we’ve got some gorgeous Spring shades coming!

This collection is kind of all over the place and the names are a bit silly and don’t really go together, but they work in their own way. The colors all flow together and feel very Spring and Easter like.

The release is set for March 30th at 3pm CST. We’ll see all 8 new shades, 2 new lip glosses (I have them, still have to swatch them) as well as a new Bubble Bath and Vapid is bringing a new Room & Linen Spray to their line.

Not even going to deny it, my mind is mush right now. I just got home from work and it’s my 6th day this week. Nick’s hours changed a bit at his job, so we’ve been waking up around 4:30 every morning… and it’s taking a toll. I’m a very heavy sleeper, so once he leaves for work, I have to stay awake or I won’t wake up in time to get Jacob to school and myself to work. Instead, I’m waking up and swatching in the early hours. If there are typos or gibberish in this post.. I blame it on the lack of sleep.

Anyways, let’s jump in and take a closer look at the polishes!

Vapid Lacquer | Peep! Peep!

Peep! Peep! was a shade I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about to be honest – but I ended up loving it on. This is a marshmallow white crelly base with subtle violet shimmer and matte microglitters in pink, baby pink and sunflower yellow. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This shade dries down with a slight texture due to the matte microglitters, so you might need 2 coats of top coat for a smooth, squishy finish.

This is a limited pour shade – so grab it while you can.

Vapid Lacquer | Make Love Not Roar!

Make Love Not Roar! is kind of a little spin-off from T-Rex Arms that released a few years back.

Make Love Not Roar! is a dusty cool toned green crelly base with holographic glitters and ultra fine to medium sized purple, pink, blue and teal glitters, and a subtle touch of scattered holo. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The glitters give this a little extra texture, so you may need 2 coats of top coat for a smooth finish.

Vapid Lacquer | Tequila Mockingbird

Tequila Mockingbird is a pale, warm toned beige crelly base with red to gold aurora shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This is a lighter and sheerer sister shade to Surprise! I’m Drunk!

Vapid Lacquer | Petrichor

Petrichor is a pale grey crelly base with copper shimmer and silver holographic micro glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Vapid Lacquer | My Dress Has Pockets

My Dress Has Pockets is a periwinkle linear holographic that also has scattered holographic sparkle, as well as copper and red to green aurora shimmer mixed in. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Vapid Lacquer | So Long And Thanks For All The Fish, So…

So… the name is kind of different. This is an Homage to one of Vapid’s favorite book series, and movies Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

So Long And Thanks For All The Fish, So… is a dusty turquoise with both a linear and scattered holographic effect, as well as green to red/gold aurora shimmer mixed in. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Vapid Lacquer | Lilacluster

So, in my tired stupor – I was saying this “Lila-Cluster” and after about 3 hours it clicked that it was more “Lilac-Luster” … go me.

Lilacluster is a shimmery lilac linear and scattered holographic with a red to pink to turquoise shimmer throughout. The shimmer is more subtle in this shade. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Vapid Lacquer | Stop And Smell The Rosé!

Stop And Smell The Rosé! is an interesting shade. In some lighting and angles it looks more mauve, and in others it’s more orchid pink. It also features linear and scattered holo, and there’s a subtle red to gold to green aurora shimmer.

I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Vapid Lacquer | March 2019 Release

If you love Spring colors, this release is definitely for you. I was surprised that a couple that I didn’t love in the bottle turned out to be my top picks once I put them on. One I knew I’d love though because it’s grey.

My Top Picks: Peep! Peep!, Tequila Mockingbird, Petrichor and My Dress Has Pockets.

Peep! Peep! is the only limited pour shade – so if you want that one, I suggest you snag it first, check out then come back for more. The Vapid team usually tries to make a ton – but they can’t anticipate just how many will sell. There might be enough to last the whole restock, there might be enough to make it through 10 minutes. No way to tell.

Along with these shades there will be 2 new glosses (Problem Child & Platonic. I’m hoping to have those up tomorrow.

There will also be Room & Linen Spray in an assortment of fragrances – some new for this launch. There will be new Bubble Bath, new body creams and nail sauce as well as elixirs.

Prices TBA. As usual, Krys will make an announcement with more release info soon in the Vapicorns Facebook Group so keep an eye out there for it.
