Vapid Lacquer | February 2022 Release

by Lisa Heath

Happy Monday! I was a busy bee over the weekend, and now it’s time to type up some posts. First up we have the Vapid Lacquer February 2022 Release! If you’ve been around awhile.. you know February means another Birthday Bitch release!

The Vapid Lacquer February 2022 Release consists of 4 polishes, including the 2022 version of Birthday Bitch, my 10 year blog anniversary shade, and then 2 more fun colors. All 4 shades have reflective glitters mixed in, some lighter on the mix, but one of the 4 is also a topper so you can amp up the other 3 if you wish to.

These are all set to release on February 26th.. and there will be a limited quantity of each. Krys did make a lot of each – so we aren’t expecting an instant sell out situation, but there is a possibility 1 or more will at some point opening weekend.

Let’s jump right in.

Vapid Lacquer | Birthday Bitch 2022

Birthday Bitch 2022 is a slightly dusty medium turquoise crelly base with pink to copper to gold to lime shimmer and iridescent flakes, and silver reflective glitters scattered in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Vapid Lacquer | Beep Boop

Beep Boop was originally created for my 10 year blog anniversary! Beep Boop is a taupish grey crelly base with pink to copper to gold to lime shimmer and iridescent flakes, as well as silver reflective glitter scattered in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

As a gift, Krys offered to share proceeds of this polish since it was for my blog anniversary and I gave permission to release it – but I instead asked if we could donate those proceeds to the City of San Antonio Animal Care Services – which is where Krys adopted her dog from last year. So 10% of proceeds for Beep Boop will go to the City of San Antonio Animal Care Services!

Vapid Lacquer | Heart Break

Heart Break is a medium wine red jelly base with a very small amount of black to red shifting pigment and silver reflective glitters. The shift within it from the pigment is supppppper duppppper subtle and just enough to add a little dimension. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

If you have a strong VNL – it will show through.

I already asked Krys if she could make a deep blue version of this so it looks like stars in the night sky.

Vapid Lacquer | Damage Control

Damage Control is a reflective shade that can be used as a topper or as a standalone polish. Below I show it as 3 coats alone (index), 1 coat over black (middle) 1 coat over Heart Break (ring) and 1 coat of a white crelly (pinky).

This is a silver reflective glitter bomb in a clear base with pink to purple to gold shifting iridescent flakes mixed in.

This does dry down with a mild texture. You can use 2 coats of glossy top coat, or a smoothing top coat.

Vapid Lacquer carries both glossy quick dry top coat and Smooth AF glitter smoothing coat if needed.

Vapid Lacquer | February 2022 Release

I love that this turned into a Birthday Bitch/Beep Boop and VDay (or Anti-VDay) release and the introduction of reflective glitters!

You’ll be able to snag these and a bunch of bath and body scents during this release, keep an eye on the Vapicorns group the week of release for more in depth info on bath & body goodies.
