Press Sample of The Polish Palette
October 2018

It’s that time! I have the second installment of The Polish Palette on the blog tonight! We saw the first one in July, so if you missed it – head HERE (those shades will be available individually around December!) Now we have The Polish Palette October 2018!

Once again Tonic Nail Polish and Rogue Lacquer are back with a set of 4 polishes perfect for the season.

Let’s do what I always do with boxes and go over what this is. It’s still fairly new, so someone might stumble on this and want to know.

What is The Polish Palette? It’s a quarterly (not monthly) collaboration box that was created by Tonic Polish and Rogue Lacquer. At the current time it will only be those 2 makers involved. They may invite guests in the future, but for now – it’s their baby. The plan is to keep it quarterly – so 4 boxes a year vs a monthly 12 boxes a year deal.

When The Polish Palette for each quarter goes up, it will be for a discounted price as a set. At a much later date (probably 4-6 months later), the polishes within each box may be available for individual purchase.

Okay so why is it called The Polish Palette? Tonic and Rogue Lacquer are basing each box off a color palette so that each set is cohesive and not just random colors. The second Polish Palette was created based on the palette below.

Let’s jump into the box and see what magic they made this time.

I do not have any descriptions to go by, so these are 100% what I see with my own eyes.

Tonic Polish | Colorful Foliage Shot

Tonic Polish Colorful Foliage Shot is a reddish berry jelly base with intense fuchsia pink to gold shimmer mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This shade is slightly more berry in person, my camera drew heavy red out of it.

Tonic Polish | PSL or Bust!

Tonic Polish PSL or Bust! is an interesting shade. It’s not quite full on gold, but it’s not full on bronze or copper. If you took an even amount of all 3 shades and mixed them together – you get this color. You see flashes of all 3 depending on lighting, but in person it feels like the bronze mellowed out the gold and copper like qualities.

I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. It is a metallic shade, so light brush strokes are visible.

Rogue Polish | Leaf Throwing Selfie

Rogue Lacquer Leaf Throwing Selfie is a red toned purple jelly based loose linear holographic with gold to orange to red shifting iridescent flakes mixed in, as well as red shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Rogue Lacquer | Flannel Weather

Rogue Lacquer Flannel Weather is a medium grey crelly based linear holographic with silver flakes mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The Polish Palette October 2018

All 4 of these are beautiful Fall shades. Much like the first box, I feel like we got to see each maker’s personal style shine. Rogue Lacquer is a magician with the flakes and Tonic’s shimmers and interesting “glow” comes through in these shades.

All 4 applied beautifully.

Price: $40.00  (I’m basing this off the previous box, but it could change)
