Happy Thursday! Next up today I have the Kathleen & Co Mardi Gras 2024 Release to share with you!
This release consists of 3 previously released Mardi Gras inspired polishes, as well as 3 new Mardi Gras shades! One of the previously released shades was actually part of the OG Mardi Gras 2016 collection that’s finally coming back.

All 6 shades will be releasing on January 19th at 7pm CST. There will also be several mysteries, as well as an anniversary polish releasing. There will be sneak peeks and more info in the Kathleen & Co Facebook Group.
Lets jump in and take a look at all the purpley goodness.
Kathleen & Co | King Cake
King Cake is a white crelly base with metallic flakes in purple, gold and green. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Kathleen & Co | Mardi Gras World
Mardi Gras World is a deep violet jelly base loaded with green to violet shifting magnetic micro flakes and a subtle amount of scattered holo. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I left the index and pinky nails unmagnetized so you can see it both ways.
Kathleen & Co | Krewe of Muses
Krewe of Muses is a violet to gold multichrome base loaded with purple reflective glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Depending on how thick you apply this shade – you may need a glitter smoothing topper to smooth away any texture. The texture is very mild though – so a thin coat of smoother should do the trick.
Kathleen & Co | Fit For A King
Fit For A King is the OG shade that was part of the first ever collection… Mardi Gras 2016! This is a medium purple base loaded with purple shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This shade does dry a little quicker than others, so you want to work a little quicker. It dries down to a demi satin finish, so I added top coat to gloss it up.
Kathleen & Co | Let The Good Times Roll
Let The Good Times Roll is a lilac holographic with green to pink shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Kathleen & Co | Party in the Vieux Carre
Party In The Vieux Carre is a medium grape purple with green to pink shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Kathleen & Co | Mardi Gras 2024 Release
As a purple fanatic – I fully approve of this release. I had no application issues, but as I mentioned – Fit For A King does dry a bit faster than the others so you have to work a little quicker with it.
