Mystery Polish January 2020

A little earlier today I posted the Glisten & Glow Birthday Duo releasing this Friday, and next up we are looking at the Glisten & Glow Mystery Polish January 2020!

This shade will release on January 10th alongside the new Birthday Duo! I will be showing it here today in both glossy and matte finishes… and I kinda love it both ways.

When I started swatching – roughly half of the polishes I received to review and that were available were glitter crellies, so this is nice to see more of! I just had my 8 year blogaversary on New Years Eve – so seeing the glitter crellies coming back more brings me back to the beginning.

Glisten & Glow | Mystery Polish January 2020

Mystery Polish January 2020 is a powder blue crelly base loaded with neon pink, dark pink, silver, blue, white and chocolate brown glitters in hex and dot glitters, ranging from micro to medium sizes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos, second set of photos shows it with a matte top coat.

Depending on your application style, you may need 2 coats of top coat to smooth. I did fairly thin coats which allowed for better control on the glitters, so I only needed 1 coat of top coat.

I cannot wait to see what other mysteries each month has in store for us! I had no application issues, but this polish is heavily glittered up – so it is possible to grab a lot of glitter in 1 dab. As I mentioned, for easier control – thinner coats help. If you do normal coats, you should only need 2 coats since the crelly base is quite opaque.
