Good morning and Happy Friday! It’s been a rough couple of days, and I was cruising right along with Polish Pickup swatching and a variety of releases coming this weekend… when my SD card died. 3 or so days worth of photos are gone. Poof. Over 70 polishes have to be reswatched. After my full blown melt down over it, I started furiously swatching away. I will pretty much be swatching nonstop (well kind of, I’m having an afternoon date with my son tomorrow) and hope to have everything redone by Sunday at the latest.
It wasn’t so much losing all those photos, but I was actually starting to get ahead of my schedule and now it’s a small setback.
Anyways, this morning we’re going to be looking at the Dreamland Lacquer Falloween 2019 Collection!
This is a 4 piece collection perfect for Halloween and Fall. This quad was inspired by the TV show “What We Do In The Shadows” which is a mockumentary style series that follows the trials and tribulations of a group of vampires living in Staten Island, NY. I personally haven’t seen this yet, but I think I need to. The Dreamland Lacquer Polish Pickup contribution for October also ties in with this collection – so be sure to catch all 5.
This set releases today at 2pm CST for preorder and the preorder will only be open for 48 hours. They will be readded to the store as normal inventory around October 4th or October 11th, depending on the preorder.
Ready to take a look?
Dreamland Lacquer | Vampire-Only Laughing, Guillermo
Vampire-Only Laughing, Guillermo is a warm brown jelly base loaded with red to gold to green to blue shifting multichrome shimmer and iridescent hex glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Inspired by Guillermo, the long-suffering human familiar of Nandor, who longs to be a vampire himself, and who is constantly chastised for doing things that only vampires are allowed to do.
Dreamland Lacquer | Now I’m A Wizard
Now I’m A Wizard is a neon red leaning orange with shifting iridescent flecks that show flashes of gold, pink, violet and aqua. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
What happens when you go for a night out on the town and drink the blood of people high on drugs? You end up thinking you’re a wizard, that’s what. Inspired by the traffic cone that Nandor used as a wizard hat while high on drug blood.
Dreamland Lacquer | Colin Robinson
Colin Robinson is a mustard yellow crelly base loaded with holographic microglitters and crushed gold flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Inspired by the ubiquitous cardigans of Colin Robinson, the day-walking energy vampire who lives with our crew of bloodsuckers.
Dreamland Lacquer | BAT!
BAT! is a grape purple jelly base with silver holo flecks and crushed gold flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Inspired by Laszlo, husband of Nadja, communicator with animals, topiary sculptor extraordinaire. Like the other vampires (except for Colin Robinson, of course), Laszlo is able to transform into a bat, but must shout BAT! every time he does so.
Dreamland Lacquer | Falloween 2019 Collection
All 4 of these are beautifully done, but my top pick is BAT! I absolutely love the elements in it and the base is dark enough to make the flakes pop, but not so dark to swallow them up.
I had no application issues with any of the shades.
