Cupcake Polish | Mermaid Collection

Press Samples

Happy Wednesday! I’m on my lunch at work and while I’m eating some ham and cheese roll up things (with pickles, of course) I decided to type up a new post! We’re going to be looking at the Cupcake Polish Mermaid Collection today!

Like pretty much all of Cupcake Polish’s releases – this is a 6 piece collection with Mermaid/water vibes and pun names to go along with it. Half of the collection contains jelly based flakey polishes and the other half is crelly/jelly shimmers.

This collection will be releasing on August 26th at 12:00pm CST!

For all photos I did use Glisten & Glow Top Coat, which I received as PR. All photos are also taken in artificial lighting.

Let’s jump right in and take a look.

Cupcake Polish | Make Waves

Make Waves is a sky blue jelly base loaded with green to gold iridescent shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Cupcake Polish | Sea Siren

Sea Siren is a black jelly base packed with green to pink to blue to purple iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Cupcake Polish | Seas The Day

Seas The Day is a teal jelly base loaded with green to pink to blue iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Cupcake Polish | Shell Shocked

Shell Shocked is a candy pink jelly base with green to blue to pink iridescent aurora shimmer mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Cupcake Polish | Wish on a Fish

Wish on a Fish is an indigo jelly base with blue to pink to gold iridescent flakes mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Cupcake Polish | You Go Pearl

You Go Pearl is a soft white crelly base with aqua to blue to violet iridescent shimmer mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Cupcake Polish | Mermaid Collection

Total beach vibes and I had zero application issues with this collection. The flake polishes didn’t require a 2nd coat of top coat or a smoothing topper to get a nice glassy, smooth appearance. The bases were the perfect consistency to float flakes without texture. What very minor texture there was got quickly erased by one coat of top coat.
