Essie Spring 2015 Collection Swatches & Review

Press Sample  Purchased by Me  In my Rite Aid monthly box this month I received 2 shades from the Essie Spring 2015 collection (Flowerista and Blossom Dandy) and I loved them so much I decided to head out to my local Rite Aid and purchase the remaining 4 shades to complete the collection. If you weren’t aware from previous posts, I am part of the Rite Aid Blogger Network and receive an assortment of products from them every month to feature. Generally for me Essie is a hit or miss brand.  I do own a lot of their shades, but some that I own are more work than the color payoff is worth.  The Spring collection was one of their better sets though in my opinion both in terms of color and application. Essie Flowerista Flowerista was one of the shades I received as part of my Rite Aid monthly…

Color Club Love Tahiry Collection Swatches & Review

Press Sample I have another Color Club collection for you tonight with a love feel to it!  This isn’t specifically a Valentine’s Day collection but it makes for a really good one! This is a 7 piece collection and they are all shades that are scented when dry.  The scent is a little on the stronger side, so if you are sensitive to scents you may want to be careful with them. Sweet Getaway Sweet Getaway is the neon of the collection!  This is a neon medium pink.  I used 3 thin coats for this photo.  This is scented rose and I love the color, but I actually cannot handle strong rose scents, so sadly I won’t reach for it too much. Tall Dark And Handsome Tall Dark and Handsome is a deep grey creme with a cologne scent.  I found the scent on this one to be ok and…

Color Club Shift Into Neutrals Collection Swatches & Review

Press Sample Tonight I have the Color Club Shift Into Neutral collection which is a selection of neutral shades for Spring of 2015.  These are perfect palette cleanser shades or even bases for nail art and while I love brights and neons, they are a nice change in the normal Spring lineup! Let’s take a look! Barely There Barely There is a light beige crelly.  I used 2 coats for this photo.  I was mildly surprised this only took 2 coats considering it’s a crelly. Blank Canvas Blank Canvas is a white crelly.  This isn’t a bright white like most, but more of a marshmallow like shade.  I used 2 coats for this photo. Blush Crush Blush Crush is a pale pink crelly.  This definitely leans to an almost full on jelly but has enough milkiness to be crelly.  I used 3 thin coats for this photo. Get A Mauve…

ORLY Color Amp’d Swatches & Review

Purchased By Me Last weekend I decided to do a little retail therapy and took my son to Target (yeah I know, livin the life over here!) I bought some shoes, my son got way too many new articles of clothing and some Wii U games… and on the way out we swung by the nail area to stock up on more cotton balls. While browsing the polishes they had I spotted ORLY Color Amp’d polishes.  These seem to be ORLY’s version of the hybrid gel mani craze.  There was definitely a nice color selection and various finishes, but one of my issues with these are mainly that you can’t SEE the polish in the bottle and for most of these polishes I picked up, I didn’t know what I was getting until I actually opened the bottle. Let’s take a look at the shades I grabbed and then I’ll…

OPI Spring 2015 Hawaii Collection Swatches & Review

Press Sample So I’m really behind on this review!  I had set it aside during tax season and while moving things around I uncovered them… sorry! So, while a little late, this is the OPI Spring 2015 Hawaii collection.  There are 12 shades in the collection and they are available now (and have been for a couple months) Since I’m already behind, let’s just jump into the photos! Aloha From OPI Aloha From OPI is one of my favorites from the collection. This is a red orange creme.  The formula was on the thinner side, but didn’t flood my cuticles and I reached full opacity in 2 coats. Do You Take Lei Away? Do You Take Lei Away? is a light beige creme.  I used 2 coats for these photos and had no issues with application. Go With The Lava Flow Go With The Lava Flow is a slightly dusty…
