New Dermelect ‘ME’ Anti Aging Colored Nail Lacquer Swatches and Review

New Dermelect ‘ME’ Anti Aging Colored Nail Lacquer Swatches and Review

Today I have 2 beautiful polishes from Dermelect Cosmeceuticals to share with you!  Dermelect is the first peptide-infused color treatment for fragile, weak nails!  They formulated and designed a 2-in-1 range of bright, beautiful crème shades coupled with a remarkable manicure extending formula.  Each polish is infused with ProSina, a pure protein peptide extracted from New Zealand sheep’s wool, the lacquers deliver a fast drying, high gloss shine while providing an unequaled level of strength for stubborn nails to grow longer and more resistant to chipping, peeling and splitting.

‘ME’ is Dermelects debut collection which includes 6 gorgeous lacquers, and I am positive they will have many more collections in the future!

Ready for swatches of 2 of the 6 colors?  Good!  I sure am!

Provocative is a bright fuchsia crème.  I will be honest here, I put this color on first and was a little scared.  The formula was a little thicker than I was use to (not goopy thick, just thick) and it looked like it applied uneven on the first coat.   I waited for it to dry and went to put on the second coat… and the polish had evened out over the nail and the uneven look was gone.  When I put on the second coat, it just hugged the first coat and went on flawlessly.  I did NOT use a top coat for these pictures so you could see the high gloss shine that Dermelect provides!

Luxurious is a rich lilac crème.  It had that same thick consistency as Provocative, but it is still easy to work with and evens out all over the nail.  Of course, this was my favorite of the two polish, but both are perfect for summer time!  No top coat was used for this picture either!  Look at the shine!

The colors not featured in this post that complete the collection are:

Persuasive:  A luscious peach

Above It: Breathtaking sky blue

Head Turner: Brilliant orange crème

Power Trip: Burst of red with pink undertones

I’m looking forward to picking up Above it as well as Persuasive in the future!

The ME colors combine fast drying, high shine and a healthy “green” dose of vitamins, peptides and moisture, offering a colorful solution to the contemporary woman’s body concern – aging hands and nails.  Dermelect ME benefits include strengthening weak, brittle nails, restores nail flexibility, helps nails resist chipping and splitting, protects against UV rays as well as providing long-lasting, high shine and bold color.  Best of all?  Dermelect is DBP, Toulene, Formaldehyde AND Cruelty Free!

Pricing:  $14.00 per .4 fl oz bottle

Availability: You can find Dermelect on the web at as well as at C.O. Bigelow in NYC

Launch Date: Summer of 2012

OPI Vintage Minnie Mouse Collection Swatches and Review

OPI Vintage Minnie Mouse Collection Swatches and Review

“She’s Flirty.  She’s Stylish.  She’s totally fa”mouse.” And now her irresistible charm is yours to enjoy!”

I finally got my OPI Vintage Minnie Mouse Collection order today!  So excited!  I have been waiting for this since I first heard mention of it back in March and I don’t really mind that its all pinks and reds… it’s MINNIE MOUSE!  This whole collection is so fun and flirty!

The Color Of Minnie

The Color Of Minnie is a beautiful shimmery, slightly metallic looking red.  This is a lovely, classy color and went on flawlessly.  I used 2 coats for this picture.  I didn’t apply a top coat to show that it was pretty shiny on it’s own!

I’m All Ears

I’m All Ears is my favorite!  I love a good jelly polish and not only is it a jelly, it’s a shimmery one!  I’m All Ears is a gorgeous raspberry jelly with pink shimmer throughout.  I used 2 coats for this mani and there is still a visible nail line (but I love jellies and VNL don’t really bother me when it comes to them).

If You Moust You Moust

This is the girly bubblegum pink of the collection, it’s also the creme of the collection.  This is a basic bubblegum pink, no shimmer, no sparkle, but still pretty!  I used 3 coats for this one because the first 2 coats had a little bit of a streakfest going on.  The third coat seemed to even it all out though and I was happy with it!

Nothin’ Mousie ‘Bout It

Nothin’ Mousie ‘Bout It is a light sheer pink base with pink iridescent glitter particles and pale pink confetti hearts throughout.  I put one coat over If You Moust You Moust and I love these two together.  The amount of hearts I got was what each brush dip gave me.  On one nail I did have to fish around to get one heart and I got lucky enough to get 2 on my middle finger.  I do love confetti glitters, so it is worth the “fishing” if needed to me!

You can find the OPI Vintage Minnie Mouse Collection in select Salons, Ulta & Trade Secret for $8.50 per bottle

Girly Bits Star Spangled and Mother May I?

Girly Bits Star Spangled and Mother May I?

I already posted these pictures on Facebook, but I need to do a review on these lovelies!

On Girly Bits last restock I managed to frantically snag 5 of her newest polishes.   The two I will be showing off today are Star Spangled and Mother May I?  These were the main 2 I was after, and sadly only got a mini Mother May I?  but I guarantee I will have a full size as soon as humanly possible!

Ok enough rambling – on with the review!

Mother May I?

Mother May I? is described as a medium purple base with aqua squares, red squares, blue, turquoise, pink, purple, opal and aqua hexes in various sizes.  I used 2 coats for this mani and a top coat.  All of the glitter laid flat and I didn’t have to fish for anything.  I got a good amount of glitter out with little to no effort!  My only gripe?  I don’t have this in a full size bottle!

Star Spangled

This one is just.. ugh.. so damn gorgeous.  This picture is done with indoor lighting.  In the sunlight it DAZZLES.  Star Spangled is described as a blue jelly, loaded with red and blue glitter, and red bar glitter.   I only used 2 coats of Star Spangled for this mani.  The amazing part is that with all of that glittery goodness packed in.. it isn’t gritty or rough on the nails!  I added a top coat and my nails were smooth and by touch, you wouldn’t think there was any glitter in it.  The glitter in this has almost a 3-D effect when you look at it.  If you have a chance to get this – DO IT.

When I placed this order there was a slight wait for the package, I knew it would take longer than normal because it was coming from Canada but the shop owner also became ill and understandably could NOT get her massive amount of shipping out of the door – BUT an amazing thing about Pam is that if you follow her blog as well as Facebook page… you got updates of shipping etc.  I am fine with a delayed package, I am not ok when the package is delayed and there is no word from the seller – so THANK YOU PAM for keeping your buyers up to speed on what was going on!

Girly Bits can be found in 3 online shops (that  I am aware of).  You can find her polishes through the Girly Bits Shop, Llarowe’s Shop or through Harlow & Co.’s Shop!  If you follow her on Facebook (link HERE) as well as on her Blog (link HERE)  you should be able to find out when her next restock is!

I currently own 11 Girly Bit’s Nail Polishes and I adore each one!

Jordana Glitter Specialty Nail Polish Swatches and Review

Jordana Glitters Swatches and Review

Good evening ladies!  I have more glittery goodness to share with you tonight!  Back in February I reviewed 18 gorgeous Jordana Glitters (view that post HERE) and I was recently sent 6 more which complete the 24 piece Jordana Glitter Nail Polish!  I swear they saved the best for last too!   If you are in need of a glitter polish of ANY kind, just head over to K-Mart and look at this selection, most likely, you will find a glitter polish you LOVE!

Outer Space

I’m going to start with my favorite of the group!  Outer Space has small light blue glitter particles with slightly larger gold and pink hex glitters.  I layered this over Milani Mint Candy!  I was looking for a good polish to layer it over and this one just jumped out at me and I love this combo!  I used 1 coat of Outer Space  for this mani!

Purple Party

Purple Party was another one I loved.  How could I not?  It’s PURPLE!  This one consisted of small pinky purple, silver and light green particles of glitters.  This is an easy layering glitter polish that doesn’t need a base color, but you can use one if you wish too!  I used 2 coats of Purple Party for this mani!

Red Flash

Red Flash has small fiery red glitter particles mixed in with slightly larger red hex glitters.  In the bottle I thought it looked fairly boring, but when I put it on I actually really liked the fact that the glitters were the same color but with different sizes which gave it a little spunk.  For this mani I layered Red Flash over Milani Deep Thoughts (my favorite purple!).  I only used 1 layer of Red Flash!

Confetti is a clear polish base with medium fuchsia hex glitters mixed in.  these glitters curl a bit, so if you try to stay away from those, that would be my warning.  They don’t curl so much that they snag, but you will have a slightly bumpy feeling nail (I don’t mind it much, I just don’t like glitters snagging!).  I layered one coat of Confetti over Milani Orchidia!

Carnival may look familiar to some of you!  Definitely a dupe for a higher end polish that I bet you can all spot!  Carnival has small blue glitter particles and medium green, blue and silver hex glitters suspended in a deep blue jelly base!   Gorgeous!

Galaxy is the final glitter in the collection!  Galaxy consist of gunmetal grey glitter particles mixed in with medium gunmetal grey hex glitter.  This is the grey version of Red Flash, but wasn’t as exciting as Red Flash!  I still liked it, but it didn’t wow me like the rest!   I used 1 coat of Galaxy over Milani Beach Front!

I was pleased with all 6 of these glitter polishes, and as a whole the 24 piece collection definitely has a little something for everyone!  None of the 6 Glitter Polishes were too think or difficult to apply.  I loved the fact that I didn’t have to manipulate the glitters and each dip into the bottle produced a good amount of glitter on the brush!

Jordana Glitter Specialty Nail Polishes and other Jordana Nail Polish colors can be found in K-Mart for $2.99 a bottle.

***The polishes contained in this post were sent to me for review.  I was not paid for this review and all opinions are my own***

NOTD: Lynnderella Forget You Not over Elixir Lacquer Bad Kitty

NOTD:  Lynnderella Forget You Not over Elixir Lacquer Bad Kitty

Another NOTD post!  I actually missed doing these.  I have a lot of polishes I purchased over the last month and most I didn’t try because I was busy catching up on reviews.  Not that I am entirely caught up, but I don’t want my purchases going to waste!

Tonight I decided to go with Elixir Lacquer Bad Kitty as a base color and Lynnderella Forget You Not over it.  Bad Kitty is made in limited batches and may or may not have more out at some point, but if you can get your hands on it, I highly suggest it!  I own 5 Elixir Lacquer polishes and I love each and every one of them!  My Lynnderella collection is slowly growing and I was so thrilled to add Forget You Not to the group last week!  The Llarowe Wishlists will be open again soon and I absolutely cannot wait!

I love purples and I think these two go so nicely together!

Elixir Lacquer Bad Kitty is a gorgeous medium Lilac with a teal shimmer to it.  It took 2 or 3 releases for me to get my hands on it.  The ingredients are harder to get which is why it is limited and whether it comes back or not is always a mystery!

Lynnderella Forget You Not is beautiful, small lilac hex glitter with violet micro glitter in a clear base.

Now I am off to watch a movie with Nick, have a wonderful night!
