Ruby White Tips Nail Polish Swatches and Review – Part 2!

Ruby White Tips Nail Polish Swatches and Review – Part 2!

I have some more lovelies from Ruby White Tips to show you today!

I absolutely love her polishes and chatting with her is just amazing!  You really should head to her Facebook page and chat, she is so incredibly enthusiastic about her brand that you can’t help but smile when reading what she has to say!

Alright – onto the swatches!

Sugarbush:

Sugarbush is a red toned violet polish with a gorgeous shimmer and some extremely small bar glitters throughout.  And by ‘extremely small’ I mean just that.  You can detect some of them in my photo (mainly pinky and ring finger) but they blend in and are completely smooth.  I used 2 coats for this mani!

Prosper Mountain:

Prosper Mountain is one of the few glittery top coat type polishes you will see in the Ruby White Tips line!  This is a lovely mix of silver and gold hex glitters in a shimmery opal base.  This is 1 coat of Prosper Mountain over Sugarbush!

Lonesome Pine Trail:

Lonesome Pine Trail is pretty much the green version of Sugarbush!  This is a gorgeous green with gold shimmer throughout and itty bitty gold bar glitters.  Only 2 coats were needed!  Flawless application <3

Suicide Six:

Suicide Six is another glittery top coat!  Ruby White Tips will make a few now and again, but she wants her main focus to be creams with shimmer and dazzle than glitter top coats.  Suicide Six is a multicolor glitter bomb!  The base is clear and has small gold glitter particles throughout with multicolor hex glitters mixed in as well.  I only needed 1 coat for this mani, which I layered over Lonesome Pine Trail.

You can find Ruby White Tips on Etsy

Also check out her Facebook page!

Each bottle retails for $7.50

All polishes made by Ruby White Tips are 3 Free!

If you have any questions and would like to contact Laura, please do so through her Etsy Page!  As I said earlier, she is very enthusiastic about her creations and I am sure she would love to answer any questions for you!

Sally Hansen Lustre Shine Swatches and Review

Sally Hansen Lustre Shine Swatches and Review

Sally Hansen released their Lustre Shine Collection a couple of months ago.  The collection consists of 8 beautiful polishes with eye catching color shifts in the bottle.

An intense and radiant nail lacquer infused with real silver. Inspired by the lustrous color flip of molten, liquid metal and the iridescence of a peacock feather. Creates an iridescent effect on the nail.

I have 6 of the 8 Lustre Shine polishes to show you today!  While I find all of the colors beautiful, not all of them translated from the bottle to the nail as well as I had hoped they would.

Azure:

Azure is a beautiful blurple color.  There is a very slight blue to purple shift in the polish.  This is my favorite of the 6 I tried.  I used 2 coats for full opacity.

Copperhead:

Copperhead is a pretty copper with a metallic like finish (not full metallic though).  The bottle shows a green swirl throughout, but my nails don’t reflect that swirl.  A very pretty fall color nonetheless.  I used 2 coats for this photo.

Plume:

Plume has a gold to olive green shift.  One of the more noticeable “shifts” of the polishes.  Brush strokes were slightly visible with this polish.  I only used 2 coats for this photo.

Lava:

Lava is another favorite of the group!  Lava is a rose to orange shift and the polish formula is different that the rest.  While the rest resemble a chrome/metallic like finish, this one seemed to be in a rose colored sheer base with thousands of tiny glitter particles.  You can see the shimmer in the photos.  Love it!  I needed 3 coats for this photo.

Moonstone:

Moonstone is an opal white with the slightest pale pink shift to it.  This can be worn alone (like I did) or layered over other colors to alter them.  A more versatile polish.  I used 3 coats for this photo and as you can see, there is still VNL.

Firefly:

Firefly was another favorite!  Firefly shifts from a bronze to a golden green color.  Very close to what you see in the bottle!  I used 2 coats for this photo.

Overall, I like the Lustre Shine collection, but I do wish there was more of a color shift like you see in the bottle.  I did like the overall color though and plan on hunting down Gilt and Scarab to complete the Lustre Shine Collection!  Application on all of these was fairly decent.  Plume had some mildly visible brush strokes and Moonstone was the sheerest formula, but all of the colors were rich and well pigmented and overall applied well.

Sally Hansen Lustre Shine nail polish can be found anywhere Sally Hansen is sold (CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, etc) and retail for $7.99

Make sure you visit Sally Hansen on Facebook as well as on their website!

I’m going to start this off with my favorite of the 2 polishes – Rudolf Knows!  Rudolf Knows is a vibrant red jelly base with red and holographic hex glitters of different sizes mixed in.  I only used 3 coats of Rudolf Knows and a glossy top coat for this photo!  Stunning polish!  Very festive for the holidays.  Application was easy with this one and all of the glitters spread out nicely!

Blue Man Goop:

Blue Man Goop is another gorgeous color!  The base is a blue crelly like finish with an iridescent shimmer to it that makes it GLOW!  Mixed within the blue base are different sized purple and blue hex glitters.  I used 3 coats for this photo and as you can see, there is still some VNL.

Both of these polishes were done really well!  Great application with no real issues!
