Revlon Parfumerie Nail Lacquer in China Flower Swatch & Review

Press Sample

I keep seeing the display for Revlon Parfumerie nail lacquers, but had never taken the plunge.  Today I finally got to try one out!

Late this afternoon I received my first Rite Aid Network box and there were so many goodies to share with you all!  The first item I tried was Revlon Parfumerie in China Flower.

China Flower

China Flower is a warm bright red creme.  Application was a breeze and I only needed 2 coats for these photos.  Scent wise, it was stronger than I thought it would be, but I actually liked it.  It has a floral scent, like a musky rose, but still sweet.  It wasn’t overpowering by any means, I could only smell it if I actually lifted my hand and smelled my nails.

This is a classic red with easy, smooth application.  If you are sensitive to scented polish, you might want to be careful.  Aside from that though, now that I’ve tried 1 shade from the Revlon Parfumerie collection, I will definitely be picking up a few more next time I’m in Rite Aid!

Where To Buy: Your Local Rite Aid

As I mentioned earlier in the post, I was accepted into the Rite Aid Network!  So each month I will receive a few goodies to share with my readers.  The first box I got looks amazing and there is a nice mix of items, some of which are completely new to me.  This is an exciting new adventure for me and I’m very happy to be given the opportunity!  So keep a look out, I will have more items up to show soon!

Have you tried out the Revlon Parfumerie nail lacquers yet?  I’d love some recommendations for my next shopping trip!

Ucomfy Shiatsu Foot Massager Review

Press SampleAffiliate Link

So tax season is now over for me.  The hectic rush and overtime has come to a close until next January.  Over the last few months I’ve had achy shoulders, back, legs and feet.

When I was given the opportunity to review the UComfy Shiatsu Foot Massager with Heat, of course I jumped on it!  This was the perfect opportunity to put this to good use!

I’ve used foot massagers in the past, but nothing like the UComfy!  This massages the tops and bottoms of your feet with a kneading motion as well as vibrating… plus the added heat feels amazing.  Your feet completely fit into the UComfy so it actually gets the WHOLE foot.  Only thing I would warn against… if you have sensitive feet, wear thick socks.  The kneading can be intense if you are sensitive.  I do have an injury to my right foot which makes my right foot more sensitive than my left.  Wearing a thick sock on the right foot helps balance it for me though.

My favorite use for it?  Moisturizing my feet, putting on a nice pair of socks, turning on the kneading feature and then the heat.  It really gets the moisture into your feet to soften them up while getting a great massage out of it!

Foot Massager full

So here is my unit.  It is a bit big, but it’s not as heavy as I would have thought and is easy to move around if I decide to use it in a different room.

Foot Massager Options

The control panel is pretty simple and straight forward.  You have the On/Off button, Kneading (so if it is too much and you don’t want it you can turn it off), Vibration on and off (if that isn’t your thing or if you prefer that to the kneading… or do both) and the Heat button if you want to use that.  The buttons were easy to push and work, so no issues there!

Foot Massager

This is a feature I really liked.  The sockets where your feet are placed have zippers so you can remove them to clean!

Probably one of the best foot massager devices I’ve used.  The massager worked REALLY well and helped my tired feet during this busy season!  Now I have a week off and will continue to enjoy it as I relax at home with a coffee.

Serum No. 5 SS14 Partial Collection Swatches & Review

Press Sample

About a month ago I was on my way home from work and sitting in a lengthy Starbucks drive thru line to get my trenta iced coffee (don’t judge… yes it was 6pm, but it was necessary!) and I heard my phone ping.  Checked the email and it was from the lady behind the indie brand Serum No. 5.  I was in a bit of shock!  Would I mind reviewing a couple of her polishes?  OF COURSE I WOULDN’T MIND!

So here we are.  For my first Serum No. 5 post I will be showing you 4 of the lovely shades from her upcoming SS14 Collection!  The complete collection consists of 11 polishes I believe, so this is just a small sample of the amazing shades she’s releasing.   I was also sent 8 shades from previous releases to review, so you will see those very soon!

Blushed And Flushed

Blushed and Flushed

Blushed And Flushed might just be my favorite of the 4 I received!  Blushed And Flushed is a delicate baby pink jelly base with silver holographic hex glitter, matte white hex glitter and small pink hex glitters mixed in.  I used 3 thin coats for these photos.

Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Ruby Swatch and Review

SponsoredPurchased by Me

A few days ago my coworker needed to stop by Gymboree for some clothing for her daughters.  I was trying so hard to be good, but Sephora was right next door, and as we walked by I saw the new Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick display right up front.

Of course I stopped in.

I’ve been seeing reviews on them that were fabulous and really wanted the Melted Violet shade.  But it was sold out, so I snagged Melted Ruby and Melted Fuchsia.

I will be showing you Melted Ruby today, and Melted Fuchsia a bit later!

photo 1 (6)

First off, I love the packaging.  Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick comes in a squeeze tube applicator with a fuzzy applicator tip.  It’s very easy to use!  Just squeeze a little and the product comes up through the applicator and you apply!

Melted Ruby Applicator

This is the applicator before i used it.  Now it’s fuzzy and red!

Melted Ruby Swatch

Too Faced Melted Ruby is a rich blood red and I LOVE it!  Best purchase I’ve made in awhile (aside from the Too Faced Chocolate Eye Palette, which I will review later!).  This swatch was done on my inner arm, just to get a closeup of the color.

photo 2 (5)

I really loved Melted Ruby on.  It applied in a gloss like applicator, but feels like a creme lipstick on.  After about an hour of wear, it went to almost a matte like finish, but without the dryness to it.

photo 1 (5)

I really love this shade.

The wear time is really good too.  I had this on yesterday and it lasted from 7am until 4pm before I needed to touch up some spots.  That’s not bad at all to get through a work day!

Price: $21.00

Where to Buy: Sephora

I’m still waiting for Sephora to get Melted Violet in stock.  Luckily they are right across the street from my work, so I can check often.

Have you tried the Too Faced Melted Liquified Lipstick yet?  If so, which was your favorite?  I’d love to hear it!

This post was brought to you by Sephora and  I purchased this product on my own and the review is my honest opinion.

Nutra Lift Simply Superb Shampoo Review

Press Sample

I’m always on the look out for the Holy Grail shampoo for my thick hair.  I had the chance to review Nutra Lift Simply Superb Shampoo with Goat Milk and was very excited for the chance.

Nutra Lift Shampoo

Nutra Lift Simply Superb is a premium gentle, daily shampoo infused with luxurious Pure Silk for shiny & vibrant hair. A Non-Soap, Non-Detergent shampoo that moisturizes & conditions with Goat’s Milk. Including a Natural & Organic, delicious blend of aromatic, anti-oxidant rich herbs for a healthy scalp. Especially formulated for people with sensitive skin. Pure & Natural for beautiful hair. Great for normal hair. Excellent for dry damaged hair.

When I first started using Nutra Lift Simply Superb, I was pretty happy with it!  My hair felt silky, it smelled like sweet roses and it conditioned nicely.  Unfortunately I fell out of love with it about 2 weeks later.

About a week into using it, my head started feeling itchy, so I went back to my old shampoo and it cleared up.  Tried Nutra Lift again, and same thing… itch and flaky and it felt like I had build up on my scalp.  Now I know what you might be thinking… maybe you weren’t rinsing it all out?  Nope, that wasn’t it.  I made sure I was rinsing it out completely but over the course of a few days, I had a weird buildup on my scalp I’ve never experienced with a shampoo before.

Sadly that was the last I used Nutra Lift Simply Superb Shampoo.  It just wasn’t for me, and I was really bummed because I LOVED the scent and the feel on the first couple of days of use!  It was perfect… but I wear a lot of black tops and white flakes aren’t something I want showing.  I don’t know if it was body chemistry that didn’t agree or what, because I’ve read fabulous reviews on this shampoo.  It just simply isn’t for me.
