Well first off – Happy Sunday! We’re running a few days behind (shocker, I know… sorry!) because I was away at the Polish & Beauty Expo and time really just escaped me BUT… I’m here and I have goodies to share before the shop closes! Tonight we’re looking at the Little Box of Horrors July 2025 shop, and the theme is Maker’s Choice!
For the fine details – for all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base, and for the glossy photos I did Monarch Lacquer Hi-Def Shine Top coat (sent as PR and I’ve also purchased). For all textured polishes, I did use Glisten & Glow Glitter Grabber (PR) and Monarch Lacquer top coat over it.
For my lighting set up I use artificial lighting due to my day job, my set up involves 2 Neatfi XL Lamps from Amazon (affiliate link) as well as this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).

BCB Lacquers | The Red Door
Inspiration: The movie Insidious.
Description: The Red Door is a bright red jelly with green/blue/purple flakes and black flakes.

Hearts & Promises | My Funny Valentine
Inspiration: The movie My Funny Valentine
Description: I’m honestly not sure if the label is correct or the listing. My bottle says “My Bloody Valentine” but the listing (and inspo) is My Funny Valentine.
This is a deep pink toned red jelly base with assorted flakes and scattered holo mixed in.

Inspiration: Inspired by Alice, a character from the Resident Evil movie series.

Jen & Berries Lacquer | Alarming Attire
Inspiration: A terrible outfit Buffy once wore, which is, in my opinion, the worst costume worn on the entire show (and I remember the bridesmaid dresses)

Lemming Lacquer | Don’t Look Under the Bed
Inspiration: I was out of ideas—bone dry, nothing left in the bottle or the brain. So I went down to the crossroads, desperate for a spark, and there he was: The Devil, slick as oil and grinning like he knew I’d show. He didn’t want much—just a promise whispered in lacquer—and in return, he handed me four nail polish designs hotter than hell and twice as pretty. Paradox Polish | What’s the Buzz
Inspiration: Inspired by this cute little bee butt someone sent me.
Description: I didn’t realize this was a thermal until after I swatched it and I was ready to do this post, so apologies – it’s really warm here so it seems to be in the warm state for these photos.
What’s The Buzz is a yellow (cold) to pale yellow (warm) crelly based thermal with golden iridescent flakes and black glitters in hexes and bars.
