Happy Sunday! Today I have 25 of the May 2025 Hella Handmade Creations offerings to share!
This month there are 25 items – 24 are polishes and 1 is a non polish item. There’s no special shop this go around, so it’s the normal monthly themes makers picked out.

For the fine details, I do use Apres Gel X Nails in Extra Short Stiletto which are clear nails. I do not use blurring base coats or anything to increase opacity of the nails – and it shows during my YouTube videos especially. With the clear nails, if you can see through the tip still – then odds are you will also see VNL through the polish I have on. If you cannot see through them, then opacity was likely reached
I did get a new camera at the end of March – so I’m still learning it’s quirks. We didn’t go super fancy – but fancy for me. I had a trusty Nikon L830 for 10 years and I am now using a Nikon Z30. It’s all new territory – so if you see a weird blur spot or .. anything – I’m working on it.
I work during the day in a medical office, and on weekends I enjoy day time shenanigans with my son – so most of my swatching is done at night in studio lighting.
I used a latex base coat for all of these photos that I bottle myself, and for the glossy photos I did Monarch Lacquer Hi-Def Shine Top coat (sent as PR and I’ve also purchased.. and that’s an affiliate link). For all textured polishes, I did use Glisten & Glow Glitter Grabber (PR) and Monarch Lacquer top coat over it.
For my lighting setup, since I use artificial lighting due to my day job, involves 2 Neatfi XL Lamps from Amazon (affiliate link) as well as this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).

All Mixed Up Lacquers | Spicy AF
Theme:All Mixed Up Lacquers continues their ‘Postively Sarcastic’ series with a polish inspired by the “I’m not a hot mess…I’m a spicy disaster” quote.
Description: Spicy AF is a pink leaning red jelly base with intense blue shimmer which gives it more of a fuchsia look.

Atomic Polish | Me Monster
Theme:Atomic Polish continues their ‘What We Do In The Shadows’ series with a polish inspired by Monster!
Description: Me Monster is a red-purple jelly base with pigment that shifts gold to red to pink and holographic flakes. This polish has a nice metallic like finish to it.

Theme: BCB Lacquers continues their ‘Adventure Time’ series with a polish inspired by Princess Bubblegum and Marceline!
Description: Bubbline is a warm purple jelly base with pink/gold/orange flakes, purple/blue flakes and a pink/gold/orange/green multichrome magnetic pull.
I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I used a velvet magnet on the index and pinky, catseye magnet on the middle and ring nails and my thumb is unmagnetized.

BCB Lacquers | Cuticle Oil “The Nightosphere”
Theme: BCB Lacquers continues their ‘Adventure Time’ series with a cuticle oil!
Description: “The Nightosphere” has scent notes of: Fresh Kiwi, Citrus Spritz, Crisp Greens, White Orchid, Bamboo Leaves, Peach Rose, Soft Amber, Tonka and White Musk. Oil is in a 6mL click pen container with a TWIST off cap.
To my nose, this is a kind of muted tropical scent. I don’t know why but that is the best way to describe it. The floral notes are not strong but add a calming sweetness to the blend. This is easily in my top 3 scent blends that BCB Lacquers has done and I will be buying a backup… and I really wish this came in a body mist cause I love it that much and would absolutely wear it.

Clionadh Cosmetics | Bamboo Forest
Theme: Clionadh Cosmetics continues their ‘Fascinating Forests’ series! As the name suggests, this polish was inspired by bamboo forests. These forests are often without other plant species since they grow so quickly and abundantly, blocking light from reaching the ground. These characteristics make bamboo forests one of the most unique in the world.
Description: Bamboo Forests is a bamboo green base jelly base with a fine golden shimmer packed in.

Theme: Colores de Carol continues their ‘Mocktail’ series with a polish inspired by an Orange Pineapple Mocktail.
Description: Citrus Bellini is a bright orange jelly base with gold/orange/red shifting shimmer.
I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This is slightly more muted in person. I tried color correcting a bit and my camera wanted it to be of neon quality so bad.. but it’s actually slightly more toned down in person.

Theme: Lurid Lacquer continues their ‘A Court of Tropes and Cliches’ series! This polish pokes fun at the overabundance of 19-21 year-old protagonists in romantasy novels. A protagonist my own age (38 y/o) would be geriatric by the standards of the genre!
Description: Geriatric By Chosen One Standards is an eggplant purple jelly base with micro holographic flakes, silver light reflective glitter, and large particle aurora shimmer that shifts from red to pink to orange and to gold.

I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I used a velvet magnet on the index and pinky nails, catseye magnet on middle and ring nails and thumb is unmagnetized.
I did find this magnetic pigment spread a lot quicker than others I recall – and within about 10 minutes some had dispersed back over the full nail so the base wasn’t as dark as photos show. It’s still beautiful – but I wanted to note that because I was surprised how fast it dispersed some back over the nail

I just wanted to say… 90210 was the first show that I watched while it was new – and I never missed an episode. I was in the the 3rd grade when it came out and it ended a month before I graduated high school.
