This month kind of got away from me, and it wasn’t until this morning that I realized it’s the 12th already! The Fandom Flakies Box for July 2019 released this morning, and the theme is ‘Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark’

I remember being in the 4th grade and these books were in the classroom to pick up and read. My 5th grade teacher used to read it to us on Fridays. Just a quick story each Friday. When I got this box, I asked Jacob if he’s read them and he had no idea what I was talking about! Apparently they aren’t really read in school anymore or readily available? Don’t worry though – I bought him his set so he can enjoy them.

Anyways, this month Ethereal Lacquer joins Bee’s Knees Lacquer & Night Owl Lacquer for the Fandom Flakies Box… and of course some incredible water slide decals from Ribbits Stickits!

Let’s take a look at each item.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | The Pale Lady

The Pale Lady is a pale greige crelly base with teal shimmer, scattered holo and teal to blue to purple multichrome flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspired by the story “The Dream”

Night Owl Lacquer | High Beams

High Beams is a blackened purple jelly base with pruple to red to copper crystal chameleon flakes, platinum flakes and silver holo flake glitter, as well as small silver holo glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspired by the story of the same name, “High Beams”

Ethereal Lacquer | Scarecrow

Scarecrow is a dusty, deepened teal crelly base (leans more jelly but still has a touch of creme milkiness to it) with aurura shimmers that shift red to copper to green, as well as iridescent colorshifting flakes that shift from red to copper to gold to green. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Ribbits Stickits | Water Slide Decals

And of course we have some water slide decals from Ribbits Stickits for the theme!

These will be available as an “add-on” for the box for an additional $5.00.

This is a fun theme, and I almost forgot all about this incredible book. Right after I received this box, I saw the movie trailer as well. I’m a chicken though, so not sure if I’ll see the movie yet.
