Zoya Winter/Holiday Party Girls Collection

Last night I was planning on typing up my Zoya Winter/Holiday Party Girls Collection post, but I was so tired – it would have been a huge disaster. Being the somewhat responsible adult I am, I decided to wait until the morning. Then I got up this morning and wasn’t really coherent and couldn’t figure out where I left my glasses… so I decided “Now isn’t the time either.”

On the drive to drop Jacob off at school and then cart myself off to work, I felt I was ready to do the post the second I stepped foot in the office (I was set to be here 30 minutes early). When I arrived, my work BFF ran up and said “We should get you some coffee next door while I grab breakfast!” I’m a weak, coffee dependant person, so I said okay.

Now I’m on my lunch break and the post is finally being typed up. My coworker tried to work her magic and have me go out to lunch with her (it’s like she knows I am looking forward to working on something and is testing me) but I said “Nope!” just so I could finish this up.

And the power in my office just flickered. It better let me get through this post.

So now I present to you the Zoya Winter/Holiday Party Girls Collection! While this is a Winter/Holiday offering, it feels very “late Summer/Early Fall” to me personally. I’m not one to stick to particular color or polish themes for each season, but I still got more of that kind of vibe over a Winter/Holiday release. We have a lot of purples with this setup which got my purple loving heart all aflutter.

I will state right off that a couple of these sent my head into panic mode because they didn’t want to photograph accurately. I was up fairly late trying to retake photos, but with the same results – so please read each description and within them I will say if there was any discrepancy from my photo to the actual color.

Without further ado – here is the Zoya Winter/Holiday Party Girls Collection!

 Zoya Blake

Zoya Blake is in my top 3 picks for this collection. Blake is a deep sapphire blue jelly base with a ton of gold shimmer packed in. The base almost looks black in the bottle and has some purple tint to it when on the nail. Since the base is a jelly formula, I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Zoya Isadora

Zoya Isadora is a deep red violet jelly base packed with blue to gold shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Zoya Landon

Zoya Landon is a mid toned, slight dusty aubergine creme. It photographed a touch warmer than it is in person. I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Zoya Delaney

Zoya Delaney is my top pick for this collection. Delaney is a royal purple metallic multichrome, but the shift is slightly subtle. It shifts from a royal purple to a dark dusty blue,  denim blue to a deep magenta at extreme angles. For a metallic, the brush strokes were very minimal, but still slightly visible. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Zoya Danielle

Zoya Danielle is a deep, slightly dusty, periwinkle creme. From the promo shots I actually expected this to be much more purple and vibrant, but was quite happy with the shade it is in person. I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Zoya Kelsey

Zoya Kelsey is a slightly muted cerise pink creme. This one was a little thicker in formula, but it self leveled just fine. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Zoya Sheri

Zoya Sheri is a bold garnet red. It’s described as a creme, but it applied more like a really rich jelly, and had that really juicy look you get from a jelly. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This shade is a touch deeper in person. The jelly like formula allowed my lighting to pass through it and it brightened it up.

Zoya Ming

Zoya Ming is a warm, mid toned scarlet red. Much like Sheri, this is described as a creme – but it has the more jelly formula to it. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

In person, this shade has a very slight touch of pink to the coloring – but my camera didn’t pick it up.

Zoya Fallon

Zoya Fallon is a rich magenta with some flashes of red with a pink pearl throughout it. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Zoya Solstice

Before we truly get into Zoya Solstice, I’m going to say now that my photos are not accurate. I tried, but this photographed way off. It came out very orange leaning coral for my photos, but in reality – Zoya Solstice is more of a muted pink coral like shade. It has gold shimmer laced throughout. It’s a very pretty, Spring ready shade – but it’s not as orange as my photos make it out to be.

I used 3 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Zoya Tawny

Zoya Tawny is a deep reddish copper that has a subtle rose shift. You’ll also see sparks of gold and magenta within it. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This shade and the next (Nadia) are described as metallics, but I wouldn’t personally classify them as such. They have sheerer, jelly like bases and are packed with micro flecks that give off all the sparks of color. Despite the flecks, I still only needed 1 coat of top coat to smooth over and there was no texture to the polish when applied.

Zoya Nadia

Last up, we have Zoya Nadia. Nadia is the sheerest of the 12 polishes, but it’s builds up nicely. This is a topper polish (which is why it’s sheer), but I showed it on it’s own so I wouldn’t distort the color. I actually liked it on it’s own anyway.

Zoya Nadia has a sheer bronze tinted base and is semi densely packed with bronze and gold metallic microflecks. Much like Tawny, it has sparks of gold and magenta within it. For these photos I used 3 coats and a glossy top coat.

Zoya Winter/Holiday Party Girls Collection Overview

Application wise, I didn’t have any major formula issues. Kelsey was a tad thicker than I prefer, but it wasn’t impossible to work with and self leveled nicely. Tawny was a little surprising since it was jelly based vs the typical, normal metallic formula we’re all used to. Aside from those though, I didn’t feel there was anything odd or mention worthy with the formulas.

As I said earlier, while this is a Winter/Holiday collection, I do get really strong late Summer/Fall vibes from it.

Looking back at the Fall Sophisticates review I did, I asked towards the end “Where’s the purple Zoya?” and I guess they answered with this collection.

AH! My namesake is so beautiful… and far nicer than Zoya’s former Danielle (a sheer pink). I also LOVEEEEEEE Blake. Though the collection feels more fall than winter, it’s my favorite from them in a long while.

I need Delaney on my nails ASAP. Love that kind of color. There are others I like too but Delaney is the IT girl.
