Zoya Tru with Zoya Chloe

by Lisa Heath

Zoya Tru has been calling my name since Zoya’s 2012 Spring Collection was announced.  Tru is described as a saturated, red-toned grape purple with speckled shimmer that reflects gold, orange and red.  Whether you are a fan of purple or not, you need this polish in your life!

After 2 coats of Tru, it was completely opaque.  Tru wasn’t streaky at all and glided on.  Dry time was about the same as any normal polish, about 3-5 minutes per coat.  We tried to get a close up of Tru on my nail to capture the shimmer in it.

After Tru dried I decided to layer Chloe over it.  Chloe is described as a sheer coral pink base with two types of duochrome Mylar flakes: red-orange to gold and gold-green to blue.  I thought the flakes in this would compliment the shimmer in Tru and I was right!  I only applied one coat of Chloe to finish off my manicure.

Zoya really outdid themselves with the True and Mylar Fleck collection.  Every color was stunning!

Zoya polishes can be found on Zoya.com as well as Ulta for $8.00 a bottle.
