Today I have the Zoya Spring 2017 Charming Collection to share with you!

The Zoya Spring 2017 Charming Collection consists of 3 cremes and 3 shimmery shades(Zoya describes them as dewy micro sparkles). There are also 3 lipsticks for Spring (only 1 is a new shade though) and I’ll have that up in a separate post for the Zoya lipsticks!

Let’s jump right in.

Millie

Millie is probably my favorite of the shimmers, and possible of the full collection. Millie is a fuchsia violet jelly like base packed with blue and violet shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Amira

Amira is a soft dusty blue crelly base packed with gold and aqua shimmers, as well as gold microflakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Some of the shimmers in Amira were a little larger and kind of went wayward on application, so I did use tweezers to remove a couple shimmery flecks that were standing up. Amira was the only shimmer this happened on.

Lacey

Lacey is a slightly dusty Spring green with gold shimmers and microflakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Jordan

Jordan is a soft blossom pink creme. Easy application – 2 coats and a glossy top coat shown.

Abby

Abby is a light lavender creme. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Tina

Tina is a medium amethyst creme. Lots of pinky tones in here. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Zoya Spring 2017 Charming Collection Overview

There really is no easy way to say this, so here it is – I’m underwhelmed. When I saw the promo photos for this collection, both Lacey and Amira jumped out as these almost glowy colors that would be magnificent for Spring. Instead they seemed to be a bit dustier than expected and… just not what I had pictured. I think my expectations for them were what led to the ultimate disappointment. Had I not seen promo photos, I would probably really like them. The colors are nice, just not what I had in mind. Millie is the only shimmer I really loved. It had a nice bold color and the shimmers in it seemed a bit more tame.

Application wise, the cremes were perfect. All 2 coats and done. Impressive for lighter shades. The colors aren’t stand out, but they are really nice for Spring time. The shimmery shades all required 3 coats, and Amira had some random larger shimmery flecks that didn’t lay flat so I had to pick them off my nail.

My top picks for the collection are Millie, Jordan and Abby

I couldn’t agree more. When I got the promo card in the mail I had my fingers crossed for Amira and Lacey as well. They looked gorgeous and saturated but, I knew they may not actually turn out to be like that. Alas, I know both of them will give me terrible lobster hands. I mean, I’m still going to get them because I’m a Zoya addict but I’m bummed. One of the great things about Zoya though is they really listen to their customers and the bloggers so maybe they will come out with a blue and green that look like the pictures at a later date. I hope so anyway! Thank you for the post, I’ve been so excited to see swatches!
