A couple weeks ago Zoya announced that if you made a $25 purchase on their website, you could enter the code NYFWT and get the NYFW Exclusive Satin Trio free. I was running low on Remove+ (I go through about 4 of their 32 fl oz bottles a month) so this was the perfect time to replenish my Remove+ and take advantage of this code.

Let’s be honest for a second though – even if I didn’t need to replenish my Remove+, I would have found a reason to make a purchase with this code because I have no willpower and when something is exclusive I usually regret not purchasing it. Better safe than sorry.. right?

Before I start, let’s cover the basic thing I do in most matte/satin type posts. What is a satin finish?  Well, it’s basically a finish that is too glossy to be considered a matte and a little too matte to be a basic gloss type finish.. The finish appears matte but has a slight reflection of light.

Antionette is a dusty mauve with a satin finish. I used 2 coats for these photos, no top coat.

Dagmara is a blue leaning teal satin. Probably my favorite of the 3. I used 2 coats and no top coat for these photos.

Do I love this trio? No. Do I like this trio? Yes. I’m still happy I got it but it may not get a ton of use from me. I still prefer Zoya’s matte finish to their satin finish and find their satin finish takes a long time to fully dry for me. This might be because I’m spoiled with fast dry top coats which satins don’t require. As far as color goes, I am more into these satins than the Naturel Satins Zoya released back in February.

These shades are no longer available for purchase, but that’s not to say that Zoya won’t rerelease them at a later date.
