Zoya LE NYFW Peter Som Trio Swatches and Review

Tonight’s post is going to be fairly quick!  My bed has been calling my name for over an hour but I wanted to get these lovelies swatched and posted!

I have the Zoya Limited Edition NYFW Peter Som Trio to show you!  This is another set I missed out on last time around that I wanted this time!  Much like the Zang Toi  Trio I swatched last night, this is another trio of colors that are perfect for Spring/Summer!

Here’s a snippet from the Zoya website:

This season, Zoya was honored to work with the Peter Som  to create a signature nail look for the Spring Summer 2013 collection.

Refined…Chic …Edgy

Ready to see this trio?

Neely:

Neely is described as a full coverage opaque creamy mint with subdued undertones.  This color was my main reason for buying this set (other than the whole LE factor…).  I know that when/if this color is rereleased it will do amazingly well.  It’s a gorgeous soft mint and is a little on the “dusty” side.  It does have a typical pastel polish formula.  The first coat was scary streaky, the second was better – but the third coat is what made it a perfect coverage polish!

Sharon:

I’m finding the more I get into polish and explore colors, the more I like colors I never thought I would.  This one is Sharon and it’s the vibrant color of the 3.  Sharon is described as a full coverage creamsicle orange. A subtle and soft interpitation of bold color.  I only needed 2 coats for Sharon and a glossy top coat to finish it off.

Jacqueline:

I’m still on the fence about Jacqueline.  I like it, but I don’t love it on me.  I just don’t think pale nude compliments my skin tone.  I can see uses for it, but as an overall color on me, not so much.  The appeal it has for me is that it does have a certain pearly glow to it that I love in a polish.  I see a lot of ladies absolutely ROCK colors like this.  I am not one of those ladies.  This one is described as a perfectly balanced opaque nude cream with cool and warm undertones. I used 3 coats for Jacqueline.  The first coat went on like a pastel, a bit streaky and I probably could have stopped at 2 coats but I went too heavy on the brush on a couple fingers and left bald spots, so 3 was my lucky number on this one.

One thing I can really say, is that I am itching to watermarble these 3 colors together.  If I wasn’t so tired and had more time tonight, I would attempt it.  Maybe that will be a project this weekend.

The Peter Som Trio is Limited Edition, but odds are it will be back in the Spring for those that missed it.  Obviously I cannot guarantee that, but it has been hinted at by Zoya Fairies on both Facebook and Twitter.  I know I saw a lot of ladies that wanted this trio, but completely missed out because it sold out fairly quickly.

Now I need to get this posted and head off to bed before Nick comes in here asking why I’m taking so long!  Have a wonderful night!

Zoya Nail Polish retails for $8.00 per bottle and can be found at the Zoya Website

I don’t really understand Sharon’s connection to the lot but I really like this trio!
Naturally I love Sharon the best because I always love oranges but on you I think Neely looks the most perfect one and that really makes me wanna get my hands on this!

Neely was the whole reason I bought it, and I loved Neely and Sharon! I expected Sharon to be lighter, but I like that there is a bright pop of color in the trio :)
