I feel semi accomplished right now. Am I caught up on swatching? No. BUT I made a huge dent in my “to do” piled yesterday. My son had a weekend long sleepover, so I had full focus on swatching yesterday.

Little side thing here, cause I do this sometimes. My son has 2 best friends, Ethan and Collin. Ethan moved about a year ago and now lives about 2 hours away. Now, back when I was a kid – when someone moved away, that was usually it. Maybe a few phone calls – but that was on a landline and expensive so it didn’t last too long. With cell phones and FaceTime and all that now though? They talk like 5 nights a week and text a lot.

Anyways, so Ethan was here visiting with Collin for the weekend and they asked Jacob to stay over too. About a month ago I had all 3 boys for the WWE weekend in Sacramento, so I know for a fact it was a loud, rambunctious weekend that probably involved a lot of food. I am just glad they all got to see each other.

Okay so, because it was just me, Nick and the kitties – I got a lot done yesterday. Among the work done – I got the Vapid Lacquer My Little Vapicorns Collection completed!

This is the Spring 2018 collection for Vapid Lacquer and we’re going to be looking at 8 new shades. Within these 8 shades we have a lot of shimmer, plus 1 is a topper type shade similar to I’m Late! but it’s different enough to warrant getting both, as well as 2 new thermals.

I got up really early to do this post before I got to work, so let’s jump right in.

Easy As Pie!

Easy As Pie! is a bubblegum pink crelly with blue shimmer with a subtle shifting iridescent sparkle. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Pappy Pony Picked A Pluck of Prickly Pluffnuggets

This shade was a little harder to capture for me. My camera loves drawing out warmer shades within reds, oranges and yellows – and this did it too. This shade is actually a bit lighter and brighter in person.

Pappy Pony Picked A Pluck of Prickly Pluffnuggets is a bright, warm yellow crelly with a pink to aqua shifting shimmer with iridescent sparks. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Oh, Hey!

Oh, Hey! is a Granny Smith apple green crelly base with aqua blue shimmer and iridescent sparks. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

See, Now You’re Thinking Like A Pony!

See, Now You’re Thinking Like A Pony! is probably my favorite of the new releases. This is a softer, dusty blue crelly base with red shimmer and iridescent sparks. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This is a touch dustier in person.

Fizzlepop Berrytwist!

Fizzlepop Berrytwist! is a slightly dusty orchid crelly base with pink shimmer and iridescent sparks. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Fling

Fling is the first thermal I’ll be showing you, and this is a more subtle thermal, but you can still tell it changed. This is a vibrant rose pink while cold and it shifts to a lighter warm pink while warm, and it has pink shimmer and gold iridescent sparks. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Clique

Clique is a warm grape purple base while cold and it shifts to a vibrant orchid pink while warm, with reddish copper shimmer and gold iridescent sparks. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

No Can Do, Sugar Cube!

No Can Do, Sugar Cube! is the topper! I used it alone for these photos, but then I did it over a black creme and a white creme.

No Can Do, Sugar Cube! is an offwhite iridescent topper with a violet shimmer and violet to blue shifting iridescent microglitters. I used 3 thin coats on it’s own, and 1 coat over the black creme and white creme.

How perfect are these for Spring? I had zero application issues with these shades. I generally apply polish in really thin layers, but I was able to do most of these in just 2 normal to slightly thicker coats. The consistency was really good, so I was able to grab more polish without it pooling in my cuticles and I did all of these with zero cleanup. That’s actually my secret to fast swatching – I can do most of it without cleanup. That’s my bragging moment.
