With each new season comes a new skin care routine! As the weather starts cooling off, I need to switch from my oil busting products to my dry skin fixes!
I’ve been using LUSH skin care for about 5 years now and have used most of their skin care products enough to know what works for my skin type and what doesn’t. During the summer my skin goes NUTS and my T Zone gets oily and just gross. I use Herbalism cleanser, Tea Tree Toner Water and Celestial moisturizer. Read on to see how how I change it up to combat dryer skin in the Fall!
Let The Good Times Roll Cleanser
I start the day off with Let The Good Times Roll facial cleanser. This stuff smells so good you almost want to take a bite out of it (it reminds me of sugar cookies and oatmeal cookies baking at once… it’s incredible)! Let The Good Times Roll is a mild exfoliater as well as a cleanser, so it’s 2 steps in 1 for me. All you need is a pea size amount in your palm, then add a little water and mix to a paste, then gently massage it into your face and neck. This is a Limited Time product, and I highly suggest you grab it while you can! I cannot say enough about this cleanser!
Let The Good Times Roll uses maize flour and polenta to gently exfoliate, corn oil to even out skin tone, and cinnamon to boost circulation and create a healthy glow. Skin will be left softened and soothed thanks to a hefty dose of glycerine, which keeps skin nourished and moisturized.

Eau Roma Water Toner
Toner is something I didn’t get into using for awhile, but once I started, I was thrilled I did! For the colder months I turn to LUSH Eau Roma Water Toner Water. After my shower, I pat my face dry and spritz on 2-3 sprays of Eau Roma Water Toner and then let it air dry as I walk around getting dressed. Toner helps to tighten pores a bit (and I actually have slightly larger pores).
Eau Roma is good for dry, sensitive and mature skin. It contains fresh rose water which helps retain moisture and is mildly astringent, which evens skin tone and improves its appearance.
Price: $9.95 for 3.3 fl oz spray bottle
Skin Drink Facial Moisturizer
During the summer, Celestial Moisturizer is my go to, but in the Fall I need more for my skin. Skin Drink is the perfect balance for me! It gives me enough moisture so my skin doesn’t itch and flake during the day, but not so much that I have an oil slick going on. A little goes a LONG way, so I only need a dab of Skin Drink to get me through the day. It soaks in quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy feel.
Skin Drink contains sesame oil, which is rich in monosaturated fatty acids.
Price: $23.95 for 1.5 oz
Full of Grace Serum Bar
Full of Grace Serum Bar is a product I have used religiously since it came out a few years ago. Basically it’s a little bar that is a solid, but when it comes in contact with your skin, it melts a little (much like the LUSH massage bars!). Once you have a little on your hands, gently massage it into your forehead, cheeks and chin. I use this before bed for my night time moisturizer, but you can also use it beneath face masks and like products. Much like Skin Drink, a little goes a long way with this!
Full Of Grace Serum Bar contains portobello mushrooms for their plentiful vitamins and antioxidant properties.
Price: $14.95
Transitioning from season to season can be a pain, and it took several years to find what works well for me. All skin types are different, but LUSH has a wide assortment of cleansers, toners, moisturizers and other skin care items to choose from to find just the perfect combo for you!
You can find all of these products on the LUSH website, or use the Shop Locator to find a store nearest to you!
LUSH sells most of their products unpackaged in order to cut down on waste. The black pots that the above cleanser and moisturizer are photographed in are made from 100% recycled material. You can either save them and reuse them, or collect 5 pots and bring them into your local LUSH shop and exchange 5 empty pots for a Fresh Face Mask (my favorite is Catastrophe Cosmetic!).
Do you generally have to change up your skin care routine for Fall? Do you change it up with LUSH, or plan to? I’d love to hear about it!
