This week has been a lot busier than I anticipated, so I have several posts I’ll be rolling out shortly. First up is the Top Shelf Lacquer Alcohol Musings Collection!
The Top Shelf Lacquer Alcohol Musings Collection is a 6 piece set of stunning creme shimmers with little twists. These release on July 14th (tomorrow!)
I definitely have a particular favorite in this collection, but let’s take a look and see if yours is the same!
Life Is Brewtiful
Life is Brewtiful was the inspiration polish for this entire collection. This is a lilac creme base with red shimmer with a subtle copper shift and a very light dusting of scattered holo. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I Am GIN-vincible
I Am GIN-vincible is my top pick from this collection. It freaking GLOWS on your nails! This is a medium blue creme base with vibrant turquoise to purple shifting shimmer. The purple shift is really subtle, so mainly you see the blue base with the vibrant turquoise popping out. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
You Can’t Sip With Us!
I find this name to be really punny, but part of me also feels like it should have been a pink shade too? Anyways, You Can’t Sip With Us! is a bright tangerine orange creme base with golden green shimmer that flashes pink in the right lighting. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Tequila Made Me Do It
Tequila Made Me Do It was a top contender for my #1 spot until I Am GIN-vincible swooped in.
Tequila Made Me Do It is a stunning medium aqua creme with turquoise shimmer that shifts strongly to pink, as well as a splash of scattered holo. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
It’s Not Good To Keep Things Bottled Up
It’s Not Good To Keep Things Bottled Up is described as a rose pink creme, but I see a little fuchsia in there? Like a subdued pinky fuchsia base with shimmers that shift pink to blue (maybe that’s obscuring the rose pink for me and playing tricks on my eyes!) and a scattered holo effect that’s incredibly delicate. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Irish I Had A Beer!
Irish I Had A Beer! is a deeper mint green creme base with soft pink to peach shimmer that was incredibly hard to capture. There is also a very subtle scattered holo effect. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

And there you have it! A shimmer-tastic collection releasing tomorrow! Application wise, all of these were perfect opacity in just 2 coats and the top coat made the shimmer snap to life even more. Some of these are much more shimmer heavy – so Iris I Had A Beer!, It’s Not Good To Keep Things Bottled Up, and You Can’t Sip With Us show very minor brush strokes or brush “patterns” but they don’t ruin the overall look of the polish to me.

It’s a very pretty collection, but I was expecting the shades to be based on actual types of alcohol or mixed drinks. Still cute IMO
