Who’s ready to see some new Tonics? I have the Tonic Nail Polish Secrets & Soulmates Collection to share tonight!

This collection was created in collaboration with Elena of Ecklipsed.  They are two friends who have mutual loves of design, art, fashion, romance and obviously, nail polish. Lindsey of Tonic Nail Polish asked Elena to create some mood boards for her to create polishes from. This entire collection was created using Elena’s mood boards and they were named by her as well.

Let’s take a look at this stunning collection

Novitiate

Novitiate is an icy mint creme base with bright turquoise shimmer that shifts to a soft orchid purple. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Fecundity 10

Fecundity 10 is a deep grape crelly base packed with green to fuchsia shifting shimmer flecks, green to purple to fuchsia shimmer, red to fuchsia to blue to green shifting iridescent flakes and silver holographic microglitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Lemons & Cream

Lemons & Cream is a bright sunny yellow with strong red shimmer and micro flecks. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. I did find this shade to be a tad on the thick side, but it self leveled nicely.

Tonic does caution to use a base coat with this shade as the yellow may cause staining.

Dulcinea

Dulcinea is a berry red with gold metallic shimmer. The gold shimmer can be seen at certain angles and gives the polish a glowy quality. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Spectre

Spectre is a stunning multichrome that shifts from aqua blue to blue to purple. This shade falls under the Tonic Lumichrome section of polishes. It’s similar to Peacock Parade, but with more of an aqua shift. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Lagniappe

Lagniappe is a gorgeous orchid linear holographic with blue shimmer and orange to green shifting flakes. The flakes are visible, but they are more subtle against the intense linear background. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Love Yourself First

I saved my favorite for last. Love Yourself First is a dusty denim blue scattered holographic base packed with rose to gold multichrome shimmer and micro flecks. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Tonic Nail Polish Secrets & Soulmates Collection Overview

This entire collection was beautifully done and there are so many different elements going on. We have multichromes, shimmer, shimmer flecks, and multichrome flakes. The only application issue I want to really mention is that Lemons & Cream is a little on the thicker side, so thin coats work best. It’s also a possible stainer so use a good base coat.

My Top Picks: Novitiate, Love Yourself First & Spectre

I usually look horrid in yellows, but this one is just perfection!
