Good morning! Figured I’d get an early morning post done since I have a few goodies to show you today. I realize it’s not really “early” for a lot of you, but anything before noon is early for me. This morning, I have the SuperChic Lacquer Project Runway Collection to share with you!
The SuperChic Lacquer Project Runway Collection consists of 8 sparkly shades with intense holographic effects that apply perfectly in just 1 coat. Yes – you read that right, ONE COAT.
SuperChic Lacquer did say that because they are high saturation colors, the likelihood of staining is high. I personally didn’t experience staining, but if you have porous nails – make sure you use a good base coat to prevent this.
I also have 2 new SuperChic Lacquer products to share with you, which I also used for all photos and I will go over those products towards the end of this post.
Now let’s look at photos.
On Point
On Point is a vibrant silver metallic holographic with silver holographic microglitters. I used 1 coat for these photos.
Skin Tight
Skin Tight is a muted golden rose quartz holographic with holographic micro glitter. I used 1 coat for these photos.
Material Girl
Material Girl is a vibrant raspberry holographic with holographic microglitters mixed in. I used 1 coat for these photos.
Make It Work
Make It Work is a vibrant golden chartreuse holographic with holographic microglitters. I used 1 coat for these photos.
Own It!
Own It! is a vibrant serenity sky blue holographic with holographic microglitter mixed in. I used 1 coat for these photos.
She Wears The Pants
She Wears The Pants is a muted, deep plum holographic with holographic microglitters. I used 1 coat for these photos.
Boots On The Ground
Boots On The Ground is a vibrant military green holographic with holographic microglitter. I used 1 coat for these photos.
Take The Plunge
Take The Plunge is a mermaid teal holographic with holo microglitter. I used 1 coat for these photos
Marvel Plush & Holo Pop
Along with the new collection, SuperChic Lacquer is also releasing Marvel Plush and Holo-POP
Marvel Plush is a dual purpose matte/satin finish and leveling top coat. It can be used as a top coat to give a satin effect, but it also can be used on top of rougher glitters before a normal top coat to add a barrier and make the polish smoother overall. It dries fast, so it doesn’t add much time to your manicure. I timed it at about 3 minutes from application to being ready to have a top coat over it.
Below I showed the steps with Material Girl
1 coat of Material Girl
1 coat of Plush over Material Girl
Top coat added for gloss.
I didn’t need a second normal top coat to smooth at this point – Plush between the 2 layers did the trick.
Holo-Pop is an Intensifying Polish Rub. You apply a couple drops to any soft fabric or lint free paper towel and gently rub over your dried holo or shimmer polish. It really brings out the holo effect (and I did it for all of these photos before I applied top coat)
SuperChic Lacquer Project Runway Collection
All 8 of these holographic shades are 1 coaters, but if you are heavy handed, you might need 2 coats. I tend to be heavy handed, so a few I had to redo and float the polish onto my nail with minimal pressure to get a nice, even coat and full coverage in just 1 coat. Because of the glitter load within these, there is a slight texture, so you may need 2 coats of top coat. If you use Marvel Plush though, you would need 1 coat of Plush and 1 coat of top coat. If you like texture though, you can easily wear 1 coat of Project Runway hologaphics, add a little Holo POP and go about your day with a textured, sparkling manicure.
