Do I have a treat for all of you today! I have been teasing some photos from this collection and so far, they have gotten some great comments… but today, you get to see the whole collection in all of it’s glory.
What collection? The Spellbound Nail Lacquer by Liberty Republic Darkside Collection, which is the Fall/Winter 2014 collection!
This collection released a few weeks ago on Wantable.com for a limited time, and anyone who bought the Wantable Makeup Sub box this month (that marked LOVE in their survey for nail polish) should have received one of these beauties in their October box. If you go now to grab a Makeup Sub box this month, you still have the chance to get one (again, make sure you mark LOVE for nail polish!)
Ok time to jump into the swatches and more purchasing information will be available below!
Voodoo
Voodoo is a vampy oxblood creme that is to die for. Application was super smooth and I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Catalyst
Purples are just my weakness. I can’t help it.
Catalyst is a more versatile shade in the collection. You can wear it alone (like I did) or layer it over black or another darker color for a gorgeous effect. I like showing polishes straight out of the bottle though, so for now – that’s what you get to see.
Catalyst is a vibrant, violet jelly base packed with shimmer and tiny glass flecks. The violet base does have some subtle shifts and you can catch flashes of blue in it. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Legend
Legend is a stunning emerald green with a slight touch of silver frost to it. There are very light brush strokes visible in application, which is fairly typical of frost shades. I used 2 coats for these photos and a glossy top coat.
Aura
Aura is a beautiful peach creme base loaded with fine gold shimmer which gives this shade an ethereal look to it. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Medallion
Medallion is the only metallic foil finish in the collection. I won’t even lie, I had trouble deciding what color this was because I couldn’t put my finger on it. It’s described by Liberty Republic as a rose tinged molten silver. It’s an really nice shade, a unique foil and surprisingly enough… no brush strokes in it. I used 2 coats and no top coat for these photos.
Premonition
Premonition might look familiar to some of you! Premonition made it’s debut on my blog this month when I revealed my September Wantable Makeup Box.
Premonition is a deep blackened teal creme that is incredible. It looks almost black. I used 2 coats for these photos and a glossy top coat.
Overview
Well, this was my first experience with a Spellbound Nail Lacquer by Liberty Republic, and I certainly hope it’s not my last. Formula wise… nailed it. They were all fabulous. The colors were rich, application was perfect and they look incredible.
SPELLBOUND Nail Lacquers are 5-free, vegan and cruelty free.
I used SPELLBOUND Eternal Gel Topcoat for all of the photos you see above (minus Medallion) and it’s a really nice, glassy top coat that dries fast for a gorgeous finish
Price: $14.00 Each
Where To Buy: Liberty Republic Website
Release: End of October
As I said earlier, right now the only way to acquire these shades are through a Wantable.com Makeup Subscription Box ($36 per month with a subscription, $40 for a one time box) but at the end of the month they will be releasing for purchase on the Liberty Republic site!
My top picks are Premonition, Catalyst, Aura and Voodoo, but really, you can’t go wrong with any of them!
