As many of you know by now, I’m still a huge nail art beginner, but I do try when I have the time to. Shine & Sheen has a few really nice nail art kits with everything you need for multiple nail art looks all in one spot. I received a Shine & Sheen Ooh La La Nail Art Kit to review, so lets take a look at what I had to work with, and what I did with them!
The Ooh La La Nail Art Kit includes:
• “fishnet tights” (black) nail polish – 0.28 fl. oz.
• “sparkle & rosé” (pink) nail polish – 0.28 fl. oz.
• “la nuit blanche” (white) nail polish – 0.28 fl. oz.
• “the 2.in.1” base + top coat – 0.28 fl. oz.
• “that je ne sais quoi” lace nail wraps – 1 sheet of 14 nail stickers
• “ooh la lace!” glitter nail wraps – 1 sheet of 14 nail stickers
• “oui, monsieur” moustache nail decals – 1 sheet
• “tie me up” corset nail decals – 1 sheet
• “snow white glitter” (white glitter) – 1 pot
• “beads of burlesque” (pink+silver+black nail beads) – 1 pot
• nail art color wheel
• double-sided dotting tool
• mini pink scissors
• mini black tweezers
• mini white nail file
• french manicure stickers – 1 sheet
• toothpicks – 1 mini pack
• detailed step-by-step instructions for 10 nail art designs
Take a look at the inside of the box:
This side contains a lot of the items alone with the nail polish, caviar beads, glitters, scissors, nail file, mini tweezers and dotting tool.
The other side has a handy pouch for the smaller items such as decals, nail wraps, nail wheel, etc. Very nice set up for the inside of the box.
I created 5 different mani’s using this box to share with you!
This was my favorite look! I used Fishnet Tights nail polish and Snow White Glitter for this look. The glitters took me a little bit because I used the dotting tool to place each glitter.
BEADS! Ok I actually liked how this look turned out, and I’m not even a fan of beads or caviar nails. I used Sparkle & Rosé as a base, then applied a layer of 2in1 Base & Top Coat, then dunked my ring finger into the small container of beads. Pretty simple!
The water decals! I have actually only used water decals once before this. These are NOT stickers. Stickers have a sticky back, but water decals sit in water for a minute and then you slide them off their paper back and place them on the nail. No stickiness.
Another water decal mani. I messed this one up a little with placement. BUT overall I do like the look of the laceups! The kit has both black and white lace up decals – so I painted 3 nails with la Nuit Blanche and 1 nail with Fishnet Tights. I used opposite decal colors to go with the base shades.
And last up we have nail wraps! I generally have horrible luck with nail wraps, but I was pretty surprised that these fit my nails better than most. I used both sets of wraps for this mani, and was more than happy to see they stuck to my nails nicely and didn’t bunch up or anything.
This kit is really good for beginners, but also for more advanced who want a general theme kit. I received Ooh La La Nail Art Kit, but Shine & Sheen also has 4 other kits to choose from! You can check out all 5 kits available on the Shine & Sheen Website.
