Looking for some affordable neon polishes? Then this post is just for you!
I have several Salon Perfect Neon POP shades to show you and the colors are insane. I photographed them to the best of my ability, but any that are off from what I saw in person, I will let you know in the description!
Let’s dive in!
Sugar Cube
Ok so this one isn’t a neon BUT this is the perfect white to use as a base coat to really make those neons POP! I have 4 bottles of Salon Perfect Sugar Cube and it’s a great white creme to use. I used 2 coats in these photos.
Bermuda Baby
Bermuda Baby is a vibrant blue creme with a violet shimmer throughout. I used 3 thin coats for these photos. The polish is stunning. I adore the color and it looks fabulous. Unfortunately I had some issues with the formula and it wasn’t self leveling for me. Will I still use it though? Yes. The color is that pretty.
Fired Up Fuchsia
Fired Up Fuchsia is a neon fuchsia with a hot pink shimmer throughout. I used 2 coats for these photos and my camera couldn’t handle it. I had some self leveling issues with Fired Up Fuchsia. I used 3 thin coats for these photos.
Flamingo Flair
Flamingo Flair is a neon peach creme. I used 3 thin coats for these photos. The first 2 coats were mildly streaky, but everything looked perfect in the third coat. This shade is a touch brighter in person.
Haute Pink
Haute Pink is another neon stunner that my camera flipped out on. This is an intense neon coral. I used 3 thin coats for these photos.
Loopy Lime
Loopy Lime is a neon lime green with shimmer throughout. I used 2 coats for these photos. Very mild self leveling issue, but it wasn’t too bad at all.
Plum Sorbet
Plum Sorbet is a bright berry red shade. I used 3 thin coats for these photos. Definitely a pretty shade. I was confused for a second though because Salon Perfect released a polish named Plum Sorbet a couple of years ago. They are completely different though. The older one is more of a shimmery grape color.
Summer Escape
Summer Escape is a neon tangerine orange. In the bottle, it looked bright, but not exactly neon. When I put it on though, there was no denying how neon it really was. I did 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat.
Tickled Pink
Tickled Pink is a neon bubblegum pink creme. I used 3 thin coats for these photos and I had some self leveling issues with it. Still worth wearing, but you can see in the photos that there are some ripples in the polish.
Traffic Cone
Traffic Cone is a neon orange shade. Again, my camera flipped out, but I love a good neon, and this is certainly amazing! I used 3 thin coats for these photos.
Yowza Yellow
Yowza Yellow is a true neon highlighter yellow jelly. It’s actually brighter in person than it is in these photos. Application was streaky for this shade and of all the polishes I received, it’s definitely the only jelly like one of the group. I used 3 coats for these photos.
Overview
So overall as a collection, I loved these neons. They were bright and vibrant and fun. A few did have some self leveling issue. I have a lot of patience and it doesn’t bother me too much. I needed 3 coats for almost all of these polishes, but if you use a nice white creme (like Sugar Cube) as a base, that helps a lot. I did all of the swatches without a white base just so you could see what they looked like on their own.
All of these dry to a matte finish, which is fairly typical for neons. I used Salon Perfect Crystal Clear top coat for all of these photos and it’s a fairly fast drying top coat that works really well. It’s thick enough to coat and cover glitters for smooth finishes as well and gives a glassy finish.
Price: $3.98 Each
Where To Buy: Walmart
I love neons, so these are perfect for me and the price is really amazing. There are 3 or 4 more Salon Perfect Neon POP shades that I didn’t have to show you, but I will be picking them up as soon as I spot them!
Will you be grabbing any of these shades?
