Happy Friday/Saturday! It’s been busy and while I was going to post this a few days ago, I knew I had close to 10 items still on the way to me – so I decided to wait it out. Now everything is here (I think) and I’m good to go. We’re going to be taking a look at the Polish Pickup November 2022 items I received… and the theme is Tis the Season!

We’re so close to the end of the year and it’s hard to believe I’ve been doing these massive posts for about 5 years now.

For the Polish Pickup November 2022 Tis The Season theme I have 64 items to share. I don’t think anymore are on the way, but I could be wrong. If any trickle in, I will add it. I also use the fabulous zig zag magnet for the magnetics in this post, and you can grab one through Polish Pickup ($3.50 and it will be available during the shop) During last month’s PPU, I believe a little over 1200 of these magnets sold and we were blown away… so we got more inventory for this month. I hope everyone who snagged one loves it!

For the fine details – for all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base, and for the glossy photos I did use a combination of the top coats including Sweet & Sour Lacquer and Vibrant Vinyls which was sent as PR this month. For matte photos I used Glisten & Glow Matte Top Coat, which she generously gifted me 2 bottles of last month due to the amount of matte top coat I go through each month. I purchased the Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues and the top coats were sent as pr or as gifts.

My lighting set up was changed. The new lamps give a much truer to color photo with less Photoshop manipulation. So now, since I use artificial lighting due to my day job, my new set up involves 2 Neatfi XL Lamps from Amazon (affiliate link) as well as this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).

Alchemy Lacquers | Hoodie Season

Inspiration: Hoodie Season was inspired by my most favorite grey hoodie (that has thumb loops) and one of the chairs in my lab that I am always sitting in that has a purple velvet cushion!

Description: Hoodie Season is a medium gray crelly nail lacquer with purple to magenta to red shifting shimmer and black to red to gold shifting micro flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspiration: Inspired by The Grinch’s growing heart. Honestly, I feel like we all could have related to him when his heart was itty bitty.

Baroness X | Xpress Drying Drops in Wild Passionfruit

Inspiration: Inspired by fruity bath and body gift baskets that we all seem to get at least 1 or 2 of during family Christmas gatherings.

Description: Wild Passionfruit (type) is a dupe of Yankee Candle’s, it’s described as a vivacious and bright fragrance, this exotic passion fruit is blended with melon and mandarin.

This product contains ingredients that bond with the solvents in nail polish to help them evaporate faster, namely disiloxane. This is the ingredient that evaporates and bonds with solvents the fastest of all the silicones in drying products. Drying products that do not contain this ingredient, won’t dry your nails nearly as quickly as Xpress Drying Spray. Baroness X also added camellia and jojoba oil to help hydrate skin and cuticles at the same time as drying.

Simply apply 1-2 drops over each nail to speed the outer layer for drying.  Be sure to do this as the FINAL step – not between layers. Do this once the mani is done.

Inspiration: Hanukkah Party is inspired by the traditional Hanukkah menorah, along with wondrous childhood memories of the excitement of the annual Hanukkah party held on the first night!

Foxfire | Car Diffuser in Sweaters & Champagne

Inspiration: cozy sweaters and bubbly

Description: Foxfire’s Car Diffuser is a clip-on glass skull liquid car freshener/wood & reed diffuser, and it is scented in their house blend of Sweaters & Champagne. It’s a blend of B&BW Sweater Weather and Champagne Toast (Sweater Weather – top – green & mint, middle – apple & peach, bottom – musk & mist + Champagne Toast top notes of champagne, middle – nectarine bottom – black currant)

The liquid inside will soak into the wood lasting up to 60 days depending on temps etc. (Refills will be available on our website.) The air vent you clip this on should be one you use often, this will help circulate the scent.

To Use:

1. Remove wood lid by unscrewing it.
2. Carefully remove the plastic stopper/bung in the glass bottle top.
3. Place the white metal clip over the screw top. We found that it fits most vents best if the clip is “up”, further away from the glass skull.
4. Hold the white clip in place and replace the wood cap by screwing it back on. This holds the clip in place.
5. Insert the included reed and wood stick into the hole on top.
6. Choose a vent in your vehicle to place the clip on. It doesn’t need to be pushed in all the way, just half way.
7. Please make sure the vehicle is not in motion when performing this optional step. You may carefully take the reed insert out as needed to add fragrance to the top of the wood cap. (Repeat this as needed.)

These instructions will also come with your item, so no worries if you need to refer back – you’ll have them on hand.

If you want, you can also not add the vent clip and keep these little diffusers on your desk. Or buy 2 and one is for car, one for home. Either way!

Lemming Lacquer | The Wild Hunt

Inspiration: Inspired by The Wild Hunt in mythology and the video game The Witcher. The Wild Hunt involves a chase led by a mythological figure escorted by a supernatural group of hunters in pursuit. The leader is often associated with Odin but other figures like Gwyn ap Nudd, Herod, Cain, Gabriel, or the Devil have also been depicted. The hunters are usually the souls of the dead, ghostly dogs, fairies, valkyries, or elves. Seeing the Wild Hunt was thought to be a portent for war, plague, or at least the death of one who witnessed it. People meeting the Hunt may also be abducted to the underworld or the fairy kingdom. In some stories, people’s spirits could be pulled away during sleep to join the Hunt

My nose picks up a perfect blend of smoky vanilla with the slightest hint of woods. I actually would wear this as a perfume if I could.

There is a red and black buffalo plaid scrunchie, a black with red, green and light blue snowflake print with a tiny bit of glitter, and finally we have the fun Nightmare Before Christmas one. These have a nice elastic band inside. I’ve been wearing my hair up in buns, so I’m just going to add these to my bun for a little spunk.

To my nose this smells just like a decorated gingerbread man cookie. It’s sweet and spiced bakery type scent.

Red Eyed Lacquer | Da Balm-er in Crisp & Juicy

Inspiration: Inspired by Summer Season

Description: Da-Balmer is a cross between a balm and body butter. It’s creamy like a body butter but has a more emollient feel like a balm would. It’s an intensive treatment you can use anywhere (I love it on cuticles of course) but a little goes a long way. If you use too much – it will feel very oily (like a balm would) so start with a little and build up if you need more.

Crisp & Juicy is a refreshing scent. It reminds me almost of fresh, ripe cucumbers and a fizzy drink… not quite seltzer water – but along those lines. The scent has a certain nose tickle fizzy drinks bring. It’s very summer, very refreshing.

Red Panda Lacquer | The Christmas Serpent

Inspiration: Every holiday season, Life University in Marietta, Georgia hosts an annual event called Lights of Life. For a small fee you can drive through the campus at night to see animated lights and animatronic displays. My favorite decoration was a sea serpent with a Santa hat on in the lake. I included a photo of it in one of the photos of this listing. Even seeing it now makes me grin.

Inspiration: Inspired by The feeling of not wanting to go out when the weather gets bad.

Description: Anti-snow-cial can be a topper or a stand alone polish. I used it as a standalone shade in 3 thin coats. This is a super pale grey, buildable shade with black, aqua, blue, purple and yellow glitters in squares, hexes and stars, with silver reflect glitters. Plus it glows blue in the dark! STELLA CHROMA | Emulsified Sugar Scrub in Caramel Apple Pie

Inspiration: Caramel Apple Pie

Description: Stella Chroma’s Emulsified Sugar Scrub is an incredibly fine particle sugar that’s densely packed in. Dig a little out of the jar, massage into your hands then rinse and keep rubbing it in while rinsing. Your hands will feel smooth, soft and incredible.

The November scent is This scent is fresh and fruity with a hint of spice and some warm vanilla sweetness. It’s such a perfect foodie scent!

My nose definitely picks up that warm, slightly spiced apple scent with vanilla. It smells delicious and it’s one of those scents that make you think “it can be THAT bad to eat if it smells that good… right?”

Sweet & Sour Lacquer | Gloss Sauce

Description: I’ve been mentioning Gloss Sauce in my posts for awhile, and it’s one of the top coats I use the most. A couple of years ago, the maker gifted me a bottle and a refill bottle and I went through it QUICK. It works well with stamping if you float it, it leaves a beautiful, glossy finish to manis and it dries quick.

Gloss Sauce is free of DBP, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, & Camphor. It contains Toluene, which allows for it to be a high gloss, quick dry top coat.

Unicorn Magic Skincare | Peppermint Swirl Deluxe Acetone Additive

Inspiration: Inspired by The holiday season

Description: Acetone Antidote is an additive for your acetone to protect your skin from the harshness of acetone. It contains glycerin and jojoba oil to help protect and moisturize your nails, skin, and cuticles during polish removal. Plus, no more ashy, dry skin! Simply shake up the vial and pour into your polish remover.

To start – I suggest squeezing 1/4 or so of the container into your acetone, mix and try it. Add more as needed. If you add too much it can overdo it a bit but it will still be usable. I personally use 1/2 of a container in my Zoya Remove+ and it’s perfect for me.

November’s scent is Peppermint Swirl which a festive blend of peppermint essential oil, huckleberries, hints of violet and white florals, with creamy base notes of vanilla marshmallow.

Peppermint and vanilla are what my nose picks up, and while the floral and huckleberry scent are there, they are really really light and just enhance the rest to elevate it to a more mature scent.

Description: Vapid Wax is back with a wax melt that is described as holiday trees with a splash of cinnamon and peppermint.

The scent description is dead on. It’s fairly simple but perfect for the holidays. Pine tree, cinnamon and peppermint – and I would love to have this for Nick as a beard oil scent.
