Good evening! Hope everyone is having a wonderful Tuesday!
Tonight I have 4 polishes to show you and they are from a new-to-me indie, The Polish Bar! She has sent me her Spring 2014 Pastel Holo Collection to review, but I also received a few other pretties from her previous collection along with it, and I will have those on the blog as well in the next few days.
The Spring 2014 Pastel Holo Collection is a small, simple and pretty collection made up of 3 subtle holographic pastel shades and a glittery top coat that pairs with all 3 holos.
Let’s take a look!
Serene Sky
Serene Sky is a greyed out periwinkle base with a very fine, subtle scattered holo. I used 3 thin coats for these photos.
Sheer Rose
Sheer Rose is a beautiful dusty pastel cool toned pink with a fine, subtle scattered holo throughout. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Magic Mint
Magic Mint is a pastel mint creme with a subtle scattered holo. I used 3 thin coats for these photos.
Jardin
Jardin is the glittery top coat that pairs with all 3 creme holographics. Jardin is a mix of pastel micro glitter, hex glitters and pastel purple flowers in a clear base. I used 2 thin coats over Magic Mint.
Overview
All 3 creme shades applied like butter. They were smooth, self leveling and didn’t have the streaky issues some pastels have. The holo within them is soft and subtle, but they do show up more than what my camera was able to capture. It certainly isn’t a “loud” holo though. The glitter top coat was easy to use and in 2 coats I smoothed a decent amount of glitter on without having to dab or place glitters. I do like that the glitter polish easily pairs with all 3 creme holos, as well as an assortment of other polishes if you wish to use colors not in the collection.
