Pink Gel Coat

One last review to pop up for everyone before I go on a week long vacation! Tonight I have the Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat to share with you!

The name is a little deceiving as it isn’t the type of gel you have to cure with a lamp, so don’t think that (I did at first so I asked) Pink Gel Coat is a protein-rich nail coating that instantly strengthens, seals, and protects your nails. I tried this out for a week straight to get my thoughts on it!

Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat is a keratin-rich formula includes an optical brightener that filters out any yellow appearance, making the nail bed look rosy pink and the tips of nails white.  It also dries fairly fast, which I wasn’t expecting.

You can use Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat for both fingers and toes. It can also be used as a base coat and it works really well as one. While I like it on it’s own, that option is there.

As soon as I first applied it and let dry, I instantly noticed how nice my nails looked with it. They did have a light pink, healthy glow and they felt really strong. I don’t use nail strengtheners often, but I’m asked for recommendations on a semi regular basis, and this is one I have to say is worth it!

Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat

My nails look incredibly healthy and after a week of use, they had grown a bit longer (my nails grow fast) and they still looked really good! I really liked the pink “filter” that really made them look healthy. It was a nice alternative to the normal dull look I usually sport when I go without polish.

Application wise – Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat applies like any normal polish. You brush it on and it applies really smooth, but make sure to wipe your brush a bit because the brush grabs a lot. It dried down really easily with no streaking or ripples.

My only small complaint is more of a preference thing, but the cap for the brush is sort of small and narrow, and while I didn’t drop it, it isn’t the most comfortable. Again, preference – but I thought I would mention it!

If you are in the market for a new nail strengthener, I would definitely recommend this. I thought my nails were strong until this proved me otherwise! I was really impressed.

Price: $30.00 For an 18 ml Bottle

If the pink hue isn’t quite for you, they also have this available in clear, Ruby Pink (darker than what I have), shimmery soft pink (Limited Edition), and powder pink.

I always use nail strengtheners as base coats and this one sounds very good.

This might be worth trying. I’m almost out of strengthener and I am always looking for something new!

I’ve had to discontinue the strengtheners lately as they seemed to cause more peeling for me – counterintuitive!

I used this when my kids were babies, it really stood up to the constant hand-washing. And I agree…that cap is balls.

This looks great – and a pink tint sounds great for my yellow nails.

Oh, I may need to try some of this. My nails are so yellowed from the regular polish changes.

You go without polish ~shock~
But seriously, I have wondered about this, I have tried some others but wasn’t 100% impressed with them so great to see a review on this one

So fun seeing your naked nails! I would love to try it, but it seems awfully expensive. How does it compare to other strengtheners (if you have used any of them), and is the price worth it for this one?

I’ve tried a couple, most drugstore brands, and this one has been my favorite. The pink tinting also offsets my light staining and my nails looked healthier. I do naturally have really strong nails though, but comparing this one to others I used, my nails felt even stronger while wearing this one. I would personally say the price is worth it. You also get 18ml, while others I’ve had are 12 or 15 ml, so you get a little more

Thanks. I’ve been using Nail Envy and before that Rejuvacote 2. I may have to take the plunge with this one, since I feel like I haven’t seen much difference.

I’m a huge fan of Perfect Formula, and have used it for years. I use the gel coat and polishes, truly the best. Trust me I think I have tried them all and my normally brittle nails look and feel strong, healthy and pretty.❤
