Pahlish May 2016 Collection

Happy Mother’s Day to everyone out there! To all the moms, step moms, furbaby moms and those who step in to help with others children. You are all a blessing! I’ve spent most of the day with my little man and my mom, and I’m just getting home and starting to work on some posts. First up today we have the Pahlish May 2016 collection!

I have this titled as the “Pahlish May 2016 Collection” because it doesn’t actually have a name. The collection is loosely inspired by one of Pahlish’s favorite game series of all times, Professor Layton! The gist of the Layton series is that Layton is a professor and gentleman who travels the world solving puzzles and wearing a top hat. I’m actually not familiar with this game, but I still enjoyed the polishes!

These release tonight, so let’s get on with the photos!

St. Mystere

St. Mystere is a grey-blue creme base with turquoise and gold shimmer mixed in. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Unwound Future

Unwound Future is a turquoise creme with coppery red shimmer mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Unwound Future is my favorite of the 6!

Golden Apple

Golden Apple is a sunkissed peach creme with coppery red shimmer. I found the consistency of this shade to be a little on the thick side, but not so much that it was hard to work with. Shown is 2 coats and a glossy top coat.

Elysian Box

Elysian Box is an orchid purple creme with copper and red shimmer mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Descole

Descole is a rosy blush creme with red and copper shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Monte d’Or

Monte d’Or is another favorite of mine! This is a greige creme with red and copper shimmer. The red and copper really pop against the greige base and I love how it gives kind of a glowy look to the polish. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Pahlish May 2016 Collection Overview

As I said earlier, I’m not familiar with the Professor Layton game series, but I don’t need to be to enjoy these shades. Golden Apple was slightly thicker than the other 5 shades, but like I said, it wasn’t difficult to work with. My favorites in the collection were Unwound Future, Monte d’Or and St. Mystere.

You also might have noticed Pahlish’s new printed bottles! They look so nice! Right now old stock in her shop will still go out in the older style bottles, and the new collection will be new bottles – but as old stock depletes, the new bottles will be brought in.

Where To Buy: Pahlish Shop

Also – if you missed out on the Pahlish The Cake Is A Lie collection from January – it is available again in the Pahlish shop for the month of May. Make sure to take a look, it had some amazing shades in it.

So what did you think? Any standouts for you? It releases shortly, so be ready!

Now I am off to do what every mother loves to do on Mother’s Day… I get to work on my son’s book report with him. Have a wonderful day!
