ORLY Sunset Strip Holiday 2016 Collection

Sunset Strip Holiday 2016 Collection

I have another Winter/Holiday collection to share with you, and it’s the ORLY Sunset Strip Holiday 2016 Collection.

When this arrived, I was a little surprised. A few colors I would have expected, but some were a nice surprise for this time of year. I know that I always said that bright shades or vampy shades don’t really have a “time of year” and to wear what you want, when you want. The ORLY Sunset Strip Holiday 2016 Collection mixes it up a bit and you get the Holiday feel, but you also get a set of colors you can wear all year long.

Let’s take a look

ORLY Sunset Strip Holiday 2016 Collection – Sunset Blvd

Sunset Blvd is a vibrant, warm red jelly base with gold microglitters mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

I included an extra shot that shows the gold glitters a bit better than my standard shots do.

ORLY Sunset Strip Holiday 2016 Collection – Invite Only

Invite Only is a grass green creme that dries down to a satin like finish. It leans a little sheer, so I did 3 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

ORLY Sunset Strip Holiday 2016 Collection – The Who’s Who

The Who’s Who is a bright, festive blue crelly. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

It’s a tad dustier in person than my camera shows.

ORLY Sunset Strip Holiday 2016 Collection – Up All Night

Up All Night is a gunmetal grey creme base loaded with silver shimmer. This is a nice go-to shade for casual or dressy events, and I’m loving it. 2 coats and a glossy top coat are shown.

ORLY Sunset Strip Holiday 2016 Collection – Celebrity Spotting

Celebrity Spotting is a violet creme base loaded with gold fleck shimmers. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

ORLY Sunset Strip Holiday 2016 Collection – Last Call

Last Call is a hot pink base with pink shimmer. Look at my blog theme… I love pink. I also love shimmer, so this is a winner for me, even if it seems out of place for this time of year. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

ORLY Sunset Strip Holiday 2016 Collection Overview

I really like the mix of colors in this collection. I keep wanting to call it the Winter collection, but it’s a holiday collection, so these colors pretty much have you covered for holiday nails and nail art. I had no application issues.

My Top Picks: Up All Night, Sunset Blvd & Celebrity Spotting

The ORLY Sunset Strip Holiday 2016 Collection will be available in Lacquer, Gel FX and ORLY Epix formulas.

I like these but they're kinda "meh" for the holidays. Their best holiday collection is the year that Mirrorball was released

I really do like the variety this collection offers like you said! I'll have to keep an eye out for the red and purple shade!

I agree that these aren't colors that some to mind when I think holiday collection. I do think they knocked it out of the park, though because there is something for everyone and like you said the colors can easily be worn throughout the year.
