OPI Soft Shades 2015 Swatches & Review

I have another new OPI collection to show you today!  Over the weekend I showed you the OPI Brights Collection and today we’re going the other direction with the OPI Soft Shades 2015.

Every year for several years now OPI releases a Soft Shades collection and it’s generally a very nice palette cleanser collection.  This one is no different.

Act Your Beige!

Act Your Beige! is an incredibly pale pinky beige jelly.  I used 3 thin coats for these photos.  Application was a little patchy and after 3 coats there were still some patches.

Put It In Neutral

Put It In Neutral is a pink toned sheer nude.  I used 3 coats for these photos.

Chiffon My Mind

I was happy to see this shade in the OPI Soft Shades collection this year.  This is a sheer white with subtle pink and blue shimmer throughout.  I used 3 thin coats for these photos.

The Silver’s Mine!

The Silver’s Mine! is a lighter silver frost shade.  I applied this 4 times hoping for less streaks and it was a no go.  This was actually my best shot.  While I love OPI, this was a dud for me completely.

Make Light Of The Situation

Make Light Of The Situation is an iridescent glitter and shimmer top coat in a sheer pearly base.  I used 1 coat over OPI Act Your Beige! and I love this pair up.

Petal Soft

Petal Soft is another glitter top coat in the collection.  This is a clear base with matte white hex glitters and larger flowers as well as baby pink hex glitters.  I used 1 coat of Petal Soft over Chiffon My Mind which I found to be another pretty combo.

I did have to fish a little for flowers.  It didn’t take long, but just a heads up that you may need to do the same.

Overview

Pretty much every shade in this collection are fitting for the OPI Soft Shades collection.  Was I overly impressed?  Not really.  Are they pretty?  For the most part, yes.  This Silver’s Mind! could have been left out though.

My top picks are Petal Soft, Chiffon My Mind and Make Light Of The Situation.
