OPI has partnered with Gwen Stefani for a fabulous 7 piece limited edition collection. When I originally got the email saying that OPI partnered with Gwen Stefani I was THRILLED! I knew this would be an awesome collaboration, and I wasn’t disappointed!
Check out these 7 shades, and I’d love to hear what you think in the comments!
Love.Angel.Music.Baby
Love.Angel.Music.Baby is a gold polish with a satin finish. I am in LOVE. Dry time was fast and it was completely opaque in 2 thin coats.
4 In The Morning
4 In The Morning is a black satin finish polish and it looks like I have leather on my nails. Very interesting shade and again… I love it. 4 In The Morning had fairly fast dry time, similar to Love.Angel.Music.Baby. I used 2 coats for this photo. It applied incredibly smooth and simply hugged the nail!
Hey Baby
Hey Baby is a vibrant pink creme. Application was flawless for me. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat. For some reason I failed to take a 2 finger swatch of this shade. Not sure what happened! Sorry!
I Sing In Color
I Sing In Color is a deep, dark, vampy black cherry shade. It looks almost black. Super glossy and perfect for this time of year. I used 2 coats for this photo and a glossy top coat.
In True Stefani Fashion
In True Stefani Fashion is the glitter top coat in the collection! This is a clear base with small silver holographic glitters as well as medium square silver holographic glitter. I used 1 coat over 4 In The Morning.
Push and Shove
Push and Shove is the polish I was extremely excited about – and it didn’t disappoint! Push and Shove is a metallic silver chrome polish. I used 2 coats for this photo and this is the best chrome finish polish I own. BUT if you have ridges and such, there is a strong chance they will show big time with the shade. I don’t have prominent nail ridges, so I didn’t run across this issue too much. But if you do, it comes with a special base coat called Lay Down That Base to try to help with it!
Over & Over A-Gwen
Over & Over A-Gwen is a vibrant red creme. The formula was on the runny side for me and I had to be careful not to let it pool in the cuticles. It wasn’t impossible, but I needed to be careful. This shade comes in a special Gwen Stefani box that includes the red polish seen above, plus Swarovski studs and crystals and nail glue to apply the studs. I did a simple design with the studs, I hope to do a more elaborate one this weekend!
Here is the box set:
Love special boxes like this one! It also has an insert with some design ideas! I used 2 coats of Over & Over A-Gwen and added some gold circle studs using the nail glue.
Overview
Fabulous collection! I love the mix of satin finishes with creme shades. All of the polishes are pretty classic shades, but the addition of Push and Shove and the Over & Over A-Gwen box set are huge bonuses. I am really hoping OPI and Gwen Stefani partner up again soon for another collection. I absolutely adore her!
