Happy Monday! I have a fun collection to share with you tonight and it’s the Luna Lab Creations My Little Pony Inspired Collection! This is a 7 piece polish and 7 piece wax melt collection.
This is a fun inspiration and I love the scent profiles along with the polishes for 7 of the MLP’s. I will be showing all of the polishes and then photos of the wax melts… plus giving official descriptions of the melts and then what my nose picked up.

Let’s jump in and take a look.. we’ll start with the polishes then move onto the wax!
Luna Lab Creations | Tempest Shadow
Tempest Shadow is a deep purple leaning red base loaded with vampy red shimmer and sparkling red microglitters . I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Luna Lab Creations | Spike
Spike is a medium, cool toned Spring green with green shimmer and blue to green to gold aurora flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Luna Lab Creations | Rarity
Rarity is a lavender base with silvery lavender shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Luna Lab Creations | Rainbow Dash
Rainbow Dash is a medium pastel blue base with silver blue shimmer and a rainbow assortment of aurora flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Luna Lab Creations | Pinky Pie
Pinky Pie is a soft, pastel pink with soft turquoise shimmer mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Fluttershy is a soft buttery yellow base with pink to gold shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Luna Lab Creations | Applejack
Applejack is a soft golden orange with orange shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Luna Wax | Applejack
Official Scent Description: Applejack Sazerac – sweet and spicy apple beverage with hints of whiskey
This is a warm apple cider like scent with that whiskey bite. My nose didn’t actually place ‘whiskey’ at first – but it has just that very mild boozy attribute to kick that spice in. This is a very inviting scent and if you like apple scents – this is a good one.

Luna Wax | Fluttershy
Official Scent Description: Scented in Blonde Moment(iced champagne mixed with rich sweet raspberry and cranberry), Raspberry Sugar and Cashmere.
My nose immediately picked up the raspberry and cranberry tartness and then the light “musk” of Cashmere. Raspberry is the prominent scent note in this one and it’s delicious. The Cashmere gives it a more mature fruity take.

Luna Wax | Pinky Pie
Official Scent Description: Pink Sands type, Pink Berry and Tonka type and Cotton Candy this is a sweet, slightly fruity with very mildly earthy background
On dry sniff, I wasn’t sure if I would like this one or not – but when melting – it changed my mind and became my top pick.
On dry sniff it seemed like a random hodgepodge of fragrance thrown in and “let’s hope for the best” type situation (similar to my cooking style really), but when melting – the cotton candy came out more (it seemed more muddled for me on dry sniff) and Pink Sands type (for me it’s a citrus and coconut and very light floral) and they mingled well. It’s a slightly more complex scent within the collection but it smells incredible when melting.

Luna Wax | Rainbow Dash
Official Scent Description: Blueberry, Blackberry, citrus and Vanilla
Probably one of the more simplistic blends in the release – but a really good one. It reminds me of a vanilla heavy yogurt parfait type scent. The blueberry is the front runner as far as fruit scents go for this and the blackberry and citrus notes are very light to my nose and elevate the blueberry and vanilla as background players.

Luna Wax | Rarity
Official Scent Description: Scented in Grape Soda and Coconut cream. This Coconut Cream is not sweet and a little complex
This is another of the more simplistic scents within the release, but when I saw grape soda – I was excited to smell this one. The grape soda and coconut cream scent are even in this one, and I expected the grape soda to overpower the coconut cream. The coconut cream really isn’t sweet at all so it make this scent (i think) a little more usable for a wider range, since I know some (eyes Nick) who don’t like super sweet scents. If you were to make a “Pink Drink” from Starbucks with coconut milk and grape with no sweetener – this is how I would imagine it would smell…. if that makes sense.

Luna Wax | Spike
Official Scent Description: Scented in Green apple candy, blackberries and cookies
Another apple scent… but more jolly rancher apple this time. The bakery notes of the cookie actually tone down the sweetness of the green apple and blackberry scent – but they all play well together. My nose was a little confused at the sweet of candy, fruit and then… cookie. It’s a little stronger than sugar cookie type scent, more buttery shortbread type cookie, but not as sweet.

Luna Wax | Tempest Shadow
Official Scent Description: Scented in Cherries, effervescence, saffron, Sandalwood and Amber
My nose immediately picked up the cherry, sandalwood and amber. This is a slightly fruity, medium musk style scent but the effervescence alters the profile a little to make it more… light and airy. The cherry isn’t really candy cherry or super fruit cherry – it almost reminded me more of the cherry wax lips we get at halloween, but punched up a little.
This was Nick’s top pick of the set.

I really love the wax melts and corresponding polishes. I feel like they were well thought out to represent each MLP character and the wax melts definitely ranged enough to have a little of something for most people.
