Spring 2016 Collection

Tonight I have the KBShimmer Spring 2016 collection to share with you!

This collection is actually split into 2 smaller 7 piece collections, but I’m showing all 14 in one post. There is a fairly standard Spring collection with a little holo and some crelly glitters KBShimmer is so well known for, and the second collection is the Mega Flame collection with sparkles like crazy!

First I’ll show the Spring portion of the collection, then we’ll move onto the Mega Flame collection!

KBShimmer Spring 2016 Collection

Prints Charming

Prints Charming is a white crelly base with fuchsia, turquoise and sapphire hex glitters mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Upside Round

Upside Round is the only glitter topper in the collection. Upside Round is a clear base packed with neon round circles in green, pink, orange, purple, blue and yellow as well as small red hex microglitters.. I used 1 coat over a white creme.

Hello Dahlia

Hello Dahlia is a dusty peachy orange crelly base with gold micro holo glitters and micro flakes. Based on the Pantone 2016 Spring/Summer shade Peach Echo. This wanted to photograph like a neon, even though it’s not really, so it’s not quite this bright in person.

I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Peony Pincher

Peony Pincher is a pastel pinkish lavender ultra holographic. I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Purr-fectly Paw-some

Purr-fectly Paw-some is the second ultra holo in the collection! This is a pastel moody blue linear holographic with lavender undertones. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Based on the Pantone 2016 Spring/Summer shade Serenity.

I Wet My Plants

I Wet My Plants is a pastel periwinkle crelly features a garden full of colorful glitters in pink, sapphire, silver and purple.I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Pools Paradise

Pools Paradise is a green leaning aqua crelly base with pops of neon pink, periwinkle and aqua glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Ok so those 7 were the “official” KBShimmer Spring 2016 Collection – and now it’s time for the Mega Flame collection half of the post!

KBShimmer Mega Flame Collection

The KBShimmer Mega Flame Collection consists of 7 gorgeous tinted bases packed with holographic glitters. If you loved Alloy Matey, I Feel Gourd-geous and Sun & Games, then the Mega Flame Collection is for you.

I took a few extra shots of these shades to try to capture the insane sparkle within these polishes.

All polishes reach the full coverage point in just 2 coats. They are LIGHTLY textured without top coat (if you prefer to wear them that way) and aren’t rough enough to snag on clothing (unless you are wearing something super duper delicate). I used 1 coat of Clearly On Top Fast Dry top coat for all these photos and it smoothed them over j

Ripe For The Pink-ing

Ripe For The Pink-ing is a raspberry pink tinted base packed with silver holographic microglitter. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

So Flamous

So Flamous is a copper leaning peach tinted base packed with silver holographic microglitter. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This shade photographed a bit brighter and a touch oranger than it is in person.

Stalk Market

Stalk Market is a yellow with a tinge of green tinted base packed with silver holographic microglitter. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Smells Like Green Spirit

Smells Like Green Spirit is a vibrant, deep lime green tinted base packed with silver holographic microglitter. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Set In Ocean

Set In Ocean is a stunning bright blue tinted base with silver holographic micro glitters mixed in. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Things That Make You Go Bloom

Things That Make You Go Bloom is a lilac purple tinted base packed with silver holographic microglitter. I used 2 coats for these photos and a glossy top coat.

Night Bright

I saved my favorite for last. Night Bright is a black tinted base packed with silver holographic microglitters and the silver to black contrast is just incredible! I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

KBShimmer Spring 2016 Collection Overview

Ok, I’m going to break this down by each mini collection within the collection. Yeah I know it’s not really “mini” being 7 polishes – but if you know KBShimmer – that is ‘mini’ for them.

Spring 2016 Collection – Beautiful mix of colors and finishes with great application. My top picks are Peony Pincher, Purr-fectly Paw-some and Prints Charming.

Mega Flame Collection – You. Need. These. Seriously – if you love sparkle and were fans of Alloy Matey, I Feel Gourd-geous and Sun & Games then these won’t disappoint you. While Night Bright is my favorite – all 7 are worth grabbing.
