Happy Friday! What a better way to kick off the 3 day weekend than to show you the Fall 2014 Collection from KBShimmer!
This collection introduces 9 new colors into the KBShimmer family, plus an oldie makes a return! Lets take a look at these 10 shades.
Jack
Jack Is Back! This classic Halloween polish is back for a limited time. Jack is a black jelly base with orange hex glitters, a scattering of orange micro slices and black hexes and shreds.I used 2 coats of Jack alone for these photos, but if you want you can do 1 coat over a nice black base to make the orange glitters really POP!
How You Dune?
How You Dune? is a perfect creme greige (not quite grey, but not quite beige… a perfect blend!). I used 2 coats for these photos.
Hugs and Wishes
Hugs and Wishes is a slightly dusty lavender creme that is probably my favorite of the 3 cremes released. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Stonewashed
Stonewashed is a gorgeous dusty navy blue creme. I used 2 coats for these photos and had absolutely no staining issues at all.
Kiss and Spell
Kiss and Spell is a Halloween themed polish loaded with a variety of shapes in traditional Halloween colors. Purple, Orange, Yellow and neon green stars swim among black and orange circles and hexes, and hexes in purple, neon green and yellow. I used 1 coat of Kiss and Spell over How You Dune? and I was mildly shocked at how easily the stars came out! No fishing at all.
Rust No One
Rust No One is a rusty, red leaning pumpkin linear holographic. Perfect for Fall! I used 2 smooth coats for these photos.
Up And Cunning
Up And Cunning is a beautiful deep teal linear holographic. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Flannel Surfing
Flannel Surfing is a faded blue polish with gray undertones and pops of orange, aqua and teal glitters complete this polish. I used 2 coats for these photos. This polish is slightly glitter heavy, so applying in thin layers helps to avoid glitter build up.
Leaf Of Faith
Leaf Of Faith is a favorite from the collection! This is a deep cabernet red jelly with red, orange and gold hex glitters mixed in, and a scattering of holographic glitters. I used 2 coats for this squishy beauty.
A Raisin To Live
I saved my favorite for last! A Raisin To Live is a deep burgundy, blackened Ox Blood colored jelly base full of holographic sparkles. This is the “vampy” cousin to Witch Way. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Overview
I love the mix within the collection. Cremes, linear holos and glitters give everyone a little something. I used KBShimmer’s Clearly On Top Fast Dry Top Coat for all of the photos above, which can also be purchased on the KBShimmer site for $5.00. I had no application issues, but as I said with Flannel Surfing, it is glitter heavy so thin layers work best to avoid a glitter pile up that can result in bumps and lumps.
Price: $7.50 for How You Dune?, Stonewashed and Hugs & Wishes – $8.75 for all others.
