Joy Lacquer Changing Hues Collection

Press Sample of Joy Lacquer
Changing Hues Collection

Yesterday Joy Lacquer released a new collection! It’s the Joy Lacquer Changing Hues collection and is full of thermal and glittery goodness.

The Joy Lacquer Changing Hues collection is a 7 piece collection, but you get a beautiful glitter topper as a gift with purchase if you grab the whole set.

Let’s check them out!

Grapeful Dead

Grapeful Dead is a magenta purple thermal (cool) that turns pale rosey pink-purple when warm, with a light holographic finish and blue sparkle. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Peaching to the Coral

Peaching To The Coral is a  a bright peachy coral thermal polish with a shimmery finish.  When warm it turns white and small flecks of bronze and pink are visible. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Takes Two to Mango

Takes Two To Mango is a much subtler change and both shades wanted to photograph like neons, but they aren’t quite neon in person. Bright, yes. Neon, no.

Takes Two To Mango is a cold reactive thermal and is a bright orange to bright deep red-orange. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Don’t Stop Teal You Get Enough

Don’t Stop Teal You Get Enough is a tri colored cold reactive thermal.  It changes from a baby blue to dark teal that also changes to a deep eggplant purple when really cold. I tried to capture all 3 stages, but it’s been warm in California (we’ve been having to sleep with the air conditioning on for a month now) so it wanted to change really fast.

Jam Session

Yeah take a second and look at this beauty.

Jam Session is a blurple raspberry, chrome microglitter and flakie polish that can be a topper or a full coverage. I went for full coverage. I used 3 coats and Girly Bits Glitter Glaze as a top coat. It’s amazing.

Smells Like Green Spirit

Smells Like Green Spirit is a pale green gold holo with chrome green and gold flakies. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Champagne Supernova

Champagne Supernova is an orange and rose gold chrome flake polish. This can be a top coat or full coverage, and I chose to do full coverage and used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Joy Lacquer Changing Hues Collection Overview

This is my first full Joy Lacquer collection and it’s really nicely done. I loved the thermals and can (and have) worn them a few times. The shimmery shades are my favorite though – especially Jam Session! No application issues to mention.

Price: $10.00 Each | $63.00 Full Collection (plus free gift with purchase polish!)
