Indigo Bananas Nail Polish Swatches and Review
Ready for another new indie maker? I was all set to review these polishes, but I wasn’t expecting them to knock me on my butt!
Indigo Bananas is a new indie polish maker that will take the polish world by storm! I posted a sneak peek on my Facebook Page and the response was overwhelming! Without a review people were commenting saying they bought it off JUST that one photo! No review, nothing! I was thrilled for Andrea!
Ready to see some swatches? Let’s get to it!
Maui:
Here is the straight on view of Maui! This is the first one I swatched and I was blown away! Head on this shows as a strong teal with small holo glitters mixed in. It shifts to a pretty blue and into a gorgeous purple. I saw the bottle first and didn’t set my expectations too high because a lot of times duochromes in the bottle do not translate as well to the nail. This one did. Completely! I used 3 coats on its own (no undies required!) and a glossy top coat!
Maui Side View:
Here is Maui angled a bit. You can see some of the color shift in this photo. Spectacular, isn’t it?!
Maui Side:
This is my favorite shot – it shows the shift beautifully. This is a polish I will be wearing a lot!
Low-Key:
Low-Key is another duochrome polish, but it isn’t as obvious of a shift as Maui was. This one shifts from an olive green to green to blue green. Another stunning polish! I used 2 coats for this one and a glossy top coat!
Low-Key Side View:
You can see a little more of the duochrome shift in this photo.
Low-Key Side:
Again, a little more shift is visible in this shot. Beautifully done Andrea!
Chill Out:
Chill Out is the glitter top coat I wanted to try! A lot of Indigo Bananas polishes are duochromes, but I wanted to try a little mix and throw a glitter in. This is a great glitter, even for people who usually shy away from it! Chill Out is a mix of white and iridescent glitters in a clear base. The glitters are all small hexes and squares. Nothing chunky at all. Pictured is just 1 coat of Chill Out over Sally Hansen Barracuda (I like white glitters over pale blues). I didn’t need to manipulate the glitter at all, everything spread out evenly and the base wasn’t thick or runny at all. Perfect application!
Chill Out Side View:
Chill Out is a very fine, very subtle glitter. I only used 1 coat of top coat to smooth it out as well, so those that don’t like the feel of glitter – no worries here!
Chill Out Side:
Gorgeous glitter topper! So many possibilities for this baby <3
And that concludes my review for Indigo Bananas! I really mean it when I say that she is really going to do well in the nail polish world. All 3 polishes were perfect. Application, pigmentation… just everything!
