Tonight I have 6 shades from ily Cosmetics on the blog tonight! ily Cosmetics is a new indie brand that’s just recently debuted, and they started off with the 6 core polishes I’m about to show you. Their 6 shades include 2 crelly based glitters, 1 jelly glitter and 3 glitter top coats.
Let’s get started!
Candy Fairy
Candy Fairy is a white crelly nail polish with baby pink, blue, lavender, yellow and green hex and square glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Unicorn Dreams
Unicorn Dreams is a white crelly polish with lavender star, matte yellow moon, pastel pink, yellow, blue, purple as green hexes and squares. Unicorn Dreams also glows blue in the dark. I used 3 thin coats for these photos.
I really liked the glitter mix in this one, for both colors and shapes.
Flying Colors
Flying Colors is a glow in the dark glitter topper. This is a clear base with neon orange, green, purple, blue and pink neon hex glitters. I used 1 coat over a white base. Flying Colors glows green in the dark.
I found the clear base to be slightly on the thick side, but it was still workable and not too bad. I was rather surprised that I got a good amount of glitter to come out in just 1 coat though.
Starmalade
Starmalade is actually my favorite of the group. This is an extremely sheer pinkish red jelly base with pink microglitters and neon star glitters mixed in. I used 4 thin coats for these photos.
Daydreamer
Daydreamer is a clear base packed with iridescent hex glitters that shift from orange to pink and blue to green. I used 1 coat over SinfulColors Pink Break.
Tribal
Tribal is the final glitter topper! This is a clear base packed with teal and pink triangle glitter, gray and teal hex glitter and white rectangle glitter. I used 1 coat over Ella+Mila Sun Has Set.
Overview
This isn’t a bad core set to start out with. It has a decent mix of glitter creations and a few that are fairly unique, especially Starmalade. The only shade I had a slight issue with was the thickness of the base of Flying Colors, but as I said – it was still workable, just thicker than I’m use to.
